農曆五月初五是端午節。端午節是我國流傳2000多年的傳統習俗，意義就是紀念歷史上偉大的民族詩人屈原。每到這一天，家家戶戶懸鐘馗像，掛艾葉菖蒲，賽龍舟，吃粽子，飲雄黃酒，遊百病，佩香囊，備牲醴。

粽子(zong zi)：Glutinous rice（糯米） filled with meat, nuts or bean paste and wrapped in bamboo leaves.
端午喝什麼？
端午節這天，人們把雄黃倒入酒中，並把雄黃酒塗在小孩兒的耳、鼻、額頭、手、足等處，希望這樣可以使孩子們不受蛇蟲的傷害。
It is a common practice to drink Chinese liquor seasoned with realgar at the Festival, to protect from evil and diseases for the rest of the year.
端午玩什麼？
端午節最應景的節目就是賽龍舟。因此，端午節也叫做龍舟節。

端午戴什麼？
端午節最有特色的飾物就是香包（sachet）。小孩佩戴香包，不僅可以避邪驅瘟，還能預防疾病。
Parents dress their children up with a sachet. The sachets，which are filled with herbal medicines, will be hung around the neck or tied to the front of a garment not only as an ornament, but also as a means to ward off evil.
端午掛什麼？
許多人相信五月是一年中容易引發疾病的危險時節，因此人們會將一種特別的植物-艾草掛在門口，作為保護之用。
