有人說香港很適合創業,但比起矽谷甚至深圳,香港卻並不容易– 市場小、成本高、寡頭壟斷、產業集中、缺乏創新動力。在香港做創業者需要莫大的決心和勇氣,在此創業究竟是一場飢餓遊戲還是賭博?傳統範式內的我們非常敬仰那些成為遊戲規則改變者的青年創業領袖們,他們以無所畏懼的勇氣挑戰香港的傳統市場,並注入創新思維。他們在這片土地下定決心創業、生存、成長和成功的故事,我們很想一探究竟。
這個八月,我們俱樂部很激動的再次推出大受歡迎的「我們對話」欄目– 就《改變遊戲規則:如何在香港創業?》主題聚焦在香港創業土地上打拼的夢想家和實幹家。我們很榮幸地邀請到三位來自不同背景但同樣傑出的青年創業者– RaymondYip,香港人,改變零售格局的創新自助型電子商務平臺Shopline的CEO及聯合創始人;Ethan Lin,大陸人,改變傳統旅行經驗的縱深旅遊體驗平臺客路(Klook)的聯合創始人;CamiloParedes,哥倫比亞人,改變社交形態的3+3聚會平臺Grouvly的CEO及聯合創始人。
這三位創業者均在短時間內銳意進取,在香港突破重圍,改變和制定著新的遊戲規則,並震撼著傳統行業。他們將會分享創業背後的靈感、挑戰和成就。他們也會談到為何紮根香港?在香港這片貧瘠的創業土壤上生存和成功的秘訣是什麼?親愛的朋友,加入「我們對話」,一起聆聽夢想家們的造夢之旅吧!或許這樣,我們會離自己遺忘的夢想更近一點,生活也許會因此而改變!
About Raymond Yip, Co-founder and CEO of Shopline (www.shoplineapp.com)
Raymond Yip is a veteran technologist who has managed the engineering and delivery of software products for large corporate teams in New York City and Hong Kong. Over an extensive career in corporate technology, he has led product design and development efforts during that span. Aside from enterprise technology, he has also created and launched a multitude of products including e-commerce sites, a web/mobile social network and Facebook applications in the past. He was the UI designer on the winning team at the April 2013 edition of Startup Weekend Hong Kong for Best User Experience.
Shopline is a DIY e-commerce platform for creating onlineshops for merchants in Asia. Their differentiation lies in simplistic setup process, knowledge of the local selling culture, and the fact that the entire experience is optimized for mobile. Their pricing model is great for sellers that are serious about selling online but aren’t yet ready to commit money to trying a new service. Shopline charges vendors a monthly subscription fee of HK$125 (about US$16) for access to a domain name and a customizable admin panel. To date,the company has more than 15,000 merchants on its platform, 60 percent of which have roots in Taiwan with the rest from Hong Kong. Shopline took part in 500 Startups』 U.S.-based accelerator program (batch 10) in 2014 and has raised US$1.2million seed round funding to develop its service and expand across Southeast Asia.
About Ethan Lin, Co-founder of Klook(www.klook.com)
Ethan Lin co-founded Klook back in June 2014 with the mission to make travel planning more enjoyable. Previous to that, he worked over sixyears in investment banking with Citi and Standard Chartered Bank, responsiblefor corporate advisory for major hospitality and property groups in Asia. Ethan is an avid backpacker, having traveled to over 20 countries, and always on the look out for fun outdoor activities. Theworld is out there, and it is #YoursToExplore!
Klook was founded in Hong Kong with the aim of providing English and Chinese-speaking travel enthusiasts with a platform to discover interesting activities and offering up for discounts of up to 50 percent. Klook provides over 1,000 「carefully hand picked experiences」. Up to today, Klook has clocked over 200,000 users in less than one year’s time. In May this year, Klook closed a US$1.5 million seed investment round led by Xiaoguang Wu, a senior executive vice president of Chinese internet giant Tencent, who’s backing is in a good place to ride the tourism boom in the region.

CamiloParedes is the CEO, Founder of Grouvly - an O2O platform in the online social space that sets up drinks between 2 groups offriends: 3 girls & 3 guys. Before founding Grouvly, Camilo co-founded two other startups - Hellofood's Rocket Internet venture (foodpanda equivalent in Latin America) and Duriana, a C2C mobile marketplace in South East Asia that allows their users to buy and sell second hand goods from their smartphones. Camilo has raised and managed over US$10M incapital to grow and expand his businesses.
Grouvly is a social club that sets up drinks between 2 groups of friends: 3 girls and 3 guys. Grouvly was established in January 2015in Hong Kong and Singapore in June 2015 to bring people together in real life,to connect them with fun and interesting people in their city that they don’t know yet, but should. They're a 1 button solution that will put you in front of a group of 3 amazing people in a comfortable environment. They work with thecoolest people and venues in town.
