who are me, me and me
我一個人完成了視頻出街的所有工作
Basically i’m working for myself and by myself through digital channels
通過網際網路渠道 我自己給自己打工
and i’m not working for any media organizations
我不在任何媒體機構任職
Neither MCNs nor big companies
包括網紅孵化公司和其他大型企業
I guess you can call this occupation as a 自媒體人
我基本就是自媒體人
Or an influencer in English
用英文講就是influencer
I’m not sure that i could be that influential
我有沒有那麼大影響力 現在不得而知
but there is one thing i’m pretty sure about
但是有一件事我很確定
that i’m passionate about making videos and quality content sharing
我對製作視頻和品質內容分享充滿熱情
Before i became an independent video maker
我在成為自媒體人之前
which is my 10th occupation
這是我第十個職業
i』ve experienced 9 different occupations in the last 10 years
在過去的十年裡 我經歷過9種不同的職業
which is also the topic i’m gonna share with you today
這也是我今天要跟大家分享的話題
Many people would say
很多人會說
this is not a great thing to jump so much in your career
工作換來換去的不太好吧
Especially some HRs and mid-level company employees
尤其是人力資源部門和企業中層
they will say you are changing too much
他們會說你換的太勤了
you are not loyal to the company
對公司沒有忠誠度
you are not thinking your career straight
你的職業規劃做的不好
and the cost of hiring you is high
僱你的成本太高了
But personally i think it was an awesome experience
但我個人覺得有這種經歷你的人生不白活
on the twists and turns of your job hopping
經歷不同職業的曲折過程中
you are able to meet great people and great projects
你會遇到有趣的人 有價值的項目
and most importantly you are able to explore yourself more and deeper
最重要的是可以更好的發現自己 了解自己
And that is the most valued fortune
這是人生一筆重要的財富
which you are not easy to get
這種財富不是從朝九晚五的工作中
from day to day routine work
可以輕鬆獲得
And i’m not ashamed to say that I』ve got one strong personality
我可以很大膽的說我有一個優秀個人品質
which is i never complain
從不抱怨
i never wait
從不等待
i just do it
只去行動

現在跟大家聊聊我都經歷過那些職業
i』ve experienced in the past 10 years.
在過去的十年裡
1. English Teacher
I won’t put it in my ten years working experience job types
這個不能算是我10年工作經驗中的一個職業
As i started to teach English when i was in my senior high school
因為我從高中就開始教英文
Including senior high school, College and Master
i』ve taught English for almost 10 years
高中 大學 研究生一共教了十年的英文
Ranging from listening, spoken, read and written English for students
從中小學生的聽說讀寫的考試英文
to adults』 business English
到成年人的商務應用英文我都教過
I』d like to mention that
那這裡呢 有必要提一句
I』ve never studied abroad
就是我從來沒有在海外留過學
I gained my English skill from home
我的英文完全是在國內學習的
In my videos
所以在我的視頻當中
I’m gonna share with you
有很多會教到大家
English learning skills without going overseas
在國內就可以輕鬆掌握的英文學習小技巧
2. English and Chinese interpreter
My first full time job has encountered all westerners including my boss and colleague
我第一份全職工作的領導和同事基本都是外國人
In terms of business negotiation and local communication
對於商務談判和跟本地人的一些溝通
They needed people with bilingual language skill like me to help
他們需要像我們這樣掌握了兩門語言的本地人來幫忙
This translation is not 100% word by word translation
這種翻譯雖然不是100% word by word translation
but it’s definitely 100% effective communication
但肯定是100%的有效溝通
This type belongs to cross interpretation
這種翻譯屬於交傳的模式
But it is not 100% word by word translation
但並不是像交叉傳譯那種一字不差的翻譯
Still it requires both language fluency
對於兩門語言的掌握還是有比較高的要求
Interpretation is more than words themselves
翻譯有時候翻的不只是文字本身
What you see better be attitude and respect
更多的時候是誠意和態度
3. Fixer
I would assume that few people have ever known this occupation
我估計很少有人聽說過這個職業
Unless you are into documentaries and have worked in documentary industry
除非你研究過紀錄片或者在紀錄片的另一家中工作過
Firstly i』d like to explain what it means
那先跟大家介紹一下fixer的意思
And then share with you the specific responsibilities that a fixer shall take
然後再告訴大家fixer具體是做什麼工作的
Fixer comes from the word fix
Fixer的詞根是fix
Fix means to stablize or install something or get problems solved.
它有固定，安裝，解決問題的意思
Fixer means
所以fixer顧名思義就是
He/She is the person to get the problem solved
那個解決問題的人
When shooting a documentary
在紀錄片的行業裡
Fixer will get location
Fixer主要就是負責安排拍攝場地
Characters, translation and logistics organized
拍攝對象 翻譯 車輛住宿
More often fixers will go shopping with the clients
有時候還得陪著客戶一起購物
It sounds like a tourist guide
這個工作聽起來有點像導遊
The difference is
但fixer和導遊最大的區別就是
Fixer will have to be an expert in video shooting
Fixer一定要懂得拍攝
They will understand where the cameras are and directors』 creative thinking
懂得機位 懂得導演的創作意圖

4. Producer
I used to be a producer
你可以把它叫做製片或者製片人
In different video projects
在不同的攝製組裡
such as advertisement, movie and promo
比如廣告 電影和宣傳片
Every producer has different responsibilities
每一個Producer它的職責是不一樣的
It includes but not limited to但是基本跑不出以下的工作安排
Making callsheet, actors and actress assignment
拍攝計劃安排 拍攝人員安排
and location and equipment localization
拍攝場地安排和拍攝設備安排
To tell you a secret that
偷偷的告訴大家
In mainland China qualified and great bilingual producer is rare
在國內好的雙語製片是鳳毛麟角
Anyone is interested in this occupation and wanna be a great producer
所以想進入這個行業並且有大的發展的同學們

5. Consultant
This is my title when i was working in an 4A agency
這個是我在廣告公司裡面的一個職業
My responsibilities are
這個工作的具體內容就是
communicating between clients and the creative
要負責跟客戶和創意進行溝通
making brand communication strategy and media plan
制定品牌的傳播策略和媒體計劃
as i have a international communication education background
因為我本身有學習國際傳播的一個背景
i’m naturally advantaged in this area
所以把握這份工作我會有先天的優勢

6.Marketing specialist
If a consultant is working
上面一個consultant的工作
in a service oriented company
一般是在乙方的公司
A marketing specialist is working in a clients』 company
這個市場專員就是在甲方的公司裡面了
A marketing specialist reports to marketing manager
市場專員的直接匯報對象是市場部的主管
The requirements to the marketing specialist
is up to quite good observations and details
市場專員的工作比較細緻和瑣碎
Including but not limited to market research
包括做一些前期的市場調研
writing powpoint and working with agencies
寫ppt 還有跟一些乙方的公司的進行勾兌
Normally big and proper companies have marketing department
一般正規的大型企業都會有市場部
Marketing plays a role
市場部的主要工作是
to assist sales department boosting sales
協助銷售部更好的提升銷售業績
7. Event pitcher
I’m not sure this is an independent occupation
我不太清楚這算不算是一個獨立的職業
But people in event industres might know
但是做活動的朋友肯定會知道
that every event
每做一場活動
will be explained to the clients by event organizers
活動公司需要把他們的方案去跟客戶講清楚
including stage creative ideas, show creative ideas
包括舞臺創意 節目創意
game creative ideas and light sound digital creative ideas
遊戲創意和聲光電的效果創意
In small event companies
在很多小的活動公司裡
Professionals can do execution
很多的朋友可以去做執行
But not everyone can pitch ideas
但是並不是所有的人都可以上臺講標
That’s how free lance pitchers like me walk in
所以就會誕生像我這樣free lance專業講標的人
It requires your eloquence
做這個工作對於你的口才
Your logic thinking
你的邏輯性
and impromptu ability
和你的臨場發揮的能力是是有一定要求的
8. Stage manager
You will mange stage flow
你要去管理整個舞臺的出場順序
manage director and actors
去管理導演 演員還有控臺
Keep the stage flow under control
把握整個舞臺上面的flow
An extensive and detailed excel sheet will be needed
你要出一個超級大 全方位的excel表格
In the event day including rehearsal
活動的彩排和當天
Everyone will rely on your excel sheet to perform well
所有工作人員都會根據這個表格來工作和走位
9. MC
This is the MC
這個基本上就是主持人的工作了
The script is prepare beforehand
主持人的串詞一般都是寫好的
70% of the talk is written down and 30% of the talk will be free style
所以70%可以照本宣科30%是臨場發揮
This is pretty much a call back to my last occupation as an event pitcher
這個跟前面提到的講標的工作是相得益彰的
It requires your public speaking ability and eloquence
因為這個對於你的公開演講和表達能力是有一定要求的
The last one is the thing i’m doing now
那最後一個工作就是我現在做的這個自媒體的工作了
As we mentioned before
我們之前有提到
You can call it an influencer
也可以把它叫做influencer
Or a video blogger
或者叫做video blogger
That is to send out the messages via videograph
就是用視頻傳達信息
and to record life an work in videos
用視頻來記錄工作和生活

那說完了這十個職業呢
I』d like to share 5 working skills that you must get
我還想跟大家分享五個工作技能
since what i』ve noticed that
因為我在所有我經歷的這些職業裡面
these 5 skills are necessities at work
這五項工作技能一定是必不可少的
The first one is your office software application skill
第一個必備技能就是你的office軟體的技能
PPT Word Excel
Keynote Pages and Numbers in Mac
蘋果電腦裡的Keynote Pages Numbers
These 3 softwares are the most used and effective ones
這三個軟體是最常用也最有用的
Second skill is your communication skill
第二個必備技能communication skill
What matter in this one is
這個溝通技巧裡面最重要的部分就是
You need to find ineffective communication
你一定要找到無效溝通
and find ways to get to effective communication
然後去尋求方法和技能去達到有效溝通
The third one is your writing skill
第三個必備技能writing skill
This writing skill
這個寫作技能
does not put you in an author role
並不是要你成為作家的那種寫作技能
but to encourage you
而是主動的去培養
to write proper work report and emails
自己寫工作報告和郵件的技能
The forth one is your language skill
第四個必備技能就是language skill
Your command of English
就是你的語言技能
though many people realized that
雖然很多朋友已經意識到
English is vital at work
英文在工作中的重要性
in many traditional industries
但是在很多傳統的行業裡
Poor English is still the obstacle for career development
英文不好還是成為很多朋友事業發展的絆腳石
So i encourage people to study English
所以在這裡鼓勵大家多多學習英文
and keep doing it
並且堅持學習英文
Lastly and importantly
最後一個我覺得是最重要的部分
that you shall always prepare to get back to the starting line and learn new things
就是你的歸零心態和快速學習的能力
In the digital era
現在在網際網路時代
Information changes fast
所有信息的更迭
Industry transformation happens quickly
行業的變革都非常快
No matter you have the plan to change your job and industry or not
那不管你有換行業和換職業的計劃
Always be prepared to get back to the starting line and learn new things
那這種歸零的心態和快速學習的能力都非常適用
Now the rules and regulation for different industry has been and is being intruded
而且現在是一個各個行業規則被打亂的年代
Learn to get hand of this chaotic time
學會抓住這個亂勢
and do something you excel
去找到自己擅長的事情
Be bold to try new things
大膽的去嘗試吧
If you don’t know what you are good at
如果你還不知道你擅長什麼
I would suggest that you use a tool called strength finder
我建議大家可以去使用一個叫strength finder的工具
to discover your short-comings and long-comings
去發現你的短板和長板
Take good use of your long-comings
充分的去發揮你的長板
Other than spend a large amount of time in your short-comings
而不是去花大把的時間研究自己的短板
Your shortcomings might be the long-comings of others
因為你的短板可能是別人的長板
What works best is you drag that person in
其實你最好是把另外一個人拽過來
and walk with you
Won’t that be happier ?
