PS4平臺時代，PS3的搖杆要玩PS4的格鬥遊戲相當麻煩。一種是類似街霸5，卡普空購買了Sony的授權，使街霸5能通過手柄引導接入PS3搖杆，能控制菜單。
一種是類似其他格鬥，GG，鐵拳，刀魂等，雖然沒有明說，但在VS模式下插入PS3也能直接用，但不能控制菜單。兩種都有不便的地方，那除了購買官方授權晶片的搖杆，Brook提供了相當不錯的晶片解決方案，後來很多人都是直接更換Brook晶片解決。
那麼PS5時代，會發生什麼呢。
今日Sony官博給了答案：
1、PS4官方授權搖杆等設備，可以直接使用在PS5(格鬥)遊戲上和支持的PS4遊戲；但並不保證全部都支持，屆時會有支持列表可供查看。
2、PS4手柄和第三方授權手柄只能玩PS5上支持的PS4遊戲，原因是PS5手柄擁有更好的功能和體驗。相信大部分都可以支持，Brook晶片應該更新下固件就可以了，這就最棒了，大家都省了一筆。
Which existing PS4 peripherals/accessories will work on PS5?Specialty peripherals, such as officially licensed racing wheels, arcade sticks, and flight sticks, will work with PS5 games and supported PS4 games.The Platinum and Gold Wireless Headsets, as well as third-party headsets that connect via USB port or audio jack, will work on PS5 (the headset companion app is not compatible with PS5).The DualShock 4 wireless controller and PlayStation officially licensed third-party gamepad controllers will work with supported PS4 games. Both the PS Move Motion Controllers and the PlayStation VR Aim Controller will work with supported PS VR games on PS5.Please note, not all PlayStation officially licensed or third-party peripherals/accessories may work on PS5.
