S: 老師，表示「大量的、很多」的a largeamount of只修飾不可數名詞嗎？也可以說amounts of嗎？
T: 關於一些不定量量詞與名詞的搭配關係，以及量詞的單複數問題，總結一下：
1. 常用的只能修飾不可數名詞的量詞：
1）an amount of =amounts of
+ time/ money/ information/data等
2) a great/good deal of
+ money/time/work 等
（注意deal只有單數形式）
3）a body of = bodies of
+ research/ information/water
4) a bit of =bits of 小量的
+ luck/cake/grass/paper
5) a little/little/less
(注意：a little 表肯定「有一些」，little 表否定「幾乎沒有」，less表「更少」。）
6）much/too (so)much/as much as
（注意：as much as 表「多達」）
7)a sum of +money (多與金錢搭配）
2.常用的只能修飾複數名詞的量詞：
1)many/many a/a great (good)many/ as many as
（注意：many a+複數名詞作主語，謂語動詞用單數形式）
2）a number of =numbers of
+ people/friends/animals
(注意the number of表「......的數量」的區別使用）
3）a few/few/fewer
注意：a few表肯定「有一些」，few 表否定「幾乎沒有」，fewer表「更少」。）
4) a crowd of =crowds of +people
（多與人搭配）
3. 既可以修飾可數也可以修飾不可數名詞的量詞:
1) a lot of =lots of
2) plenty of
（注意plenty為不可數名詞，故無單複數形式。）
3）a quantity of =quantities of
+ food/drugs/water/
4) a mass of =masses of
+ snow/ work/hair/people/figures
5) a heap of =heaps of
+time/energy/stones
