宣德爐，是由明宣宗朱瞻基在大明宣德三年參與設計監造的銅香爐，簡稱「宣爐」。宣德爐它是中國歷史上第一次運用風磨銅鑄成的銅器。

為了製作出精品的銅爐，在朱瞻基的親自督促下，整個製作過程，包括煉銅、造型必須自《宣和博古圖》《考古圖》等典籍及內府密藏的數百件宋元名窯中，精選出符合適用對象、款制大雅的形制，將之繪成圖樣，再呈給其親覽，並說明圖款的來源和典故的出處，經過篩選確定後，再鑄成實物樣品讓其過目，滿意後方準開鑄。

宣德爐是中國歷史上第一次運用黃銅鑄成的銅器。為製作精品的銅爐，明朝宣德皇帝曾親自督促，這在歷史上實屬少見。宣德爐以色澤為亮點，其色內融。此件宣德爐以黃銅製成，底書「大明宣德年制」楷書款，帶底座。其爐身形制規整，敦厚之中不失靈巧精緻，作為書房陳設頗為雅致。焚香其內，數百年歷史的厚重感隨香外溢。它通體光素，盡顯銅爐精純美質，銅質精良，入手沉甸。此「宣德爐」來源於紐約佳士得2012年9月紐約洛克菲勒中心拍賣會，流失海外多年，如今漂洋過海重歸祖國懷抱，且品相完好，相當珍貴。

這是一件仿生題材，一竹子為主要表現紋飾，其耳為竹節，彎曲浮雕於爐身之上，爐身竹葉與竹節完美銜接，仿佛爐中長出了竹子一般，十分耐賞。

這件宣德爐是典型的蟹青皮色，黃中帶青，青中有黃，形似蟹殼的青色，故而名蟹青皮色。

底部對稱分布三足，三足之間陽刻六字款：宣德年制，德字少一橫，是當時的典型特徵，這件宣德爐在自然光線下，底光柔和，自然光呈現暈散反射，無任何賊光，開門到代，十分罕見。

這件如意觀音立像整體滿工藝，正面紋飾滿身，十分精美，觀音周身如意捲雲紋，與手中如意相呼應，頭部左右纏枝草蔓紋，背後佛光圍繞，右上到下整體光澤十分溫潤，為綢緞包漿，觸感光滑，身穿漢服，袖口極大，下擺到膝蓋以下，整體褶皺紋飾表現的十分到位，顯得十分貼身，達到了曹衣出水的境界，十分耐賞。

背後一個陰佛字，彰顯佛家神韻，整體高度16.5釐米，背面十分光滑，為弧形，形成了原光包漿，氧化顏色與正面有著明顯區別，這也是由於弧面光滑，不易落塵，而背向牆，不受香火煙燻的緣故，整體表現十分開門。
