繼去年於亞洲首次亮相後，巴塞爾香港藝術展「策展角落」（Kabinett）展區將再度回歸，呈獻30個精心策劃的展覽與項目。「藝聚空間」（Encounters）展區將再次由雪梨當代藝術機構Artspace行政總監Alexie Glass-Kantor策展，致力呈獻公共藝術規模的大型作品；「光映現場」（Film）展區將由駐北京及蘇黎世策展人、多媒體藝術家兼製作人李振華策展。

巴塞爾香港藝術展策展角落（Kabinett)展區設於藝廊薈萃（Galleries）展區展位中，包括知名 及新晉藝術家的個展，展出藝術家包括藝術家雙人組合Alfredo與Isabel Aquilizan、Chant Avedissian、TeresitaFernández、舟越桂、Apostolos Georgiou、Federico Herrero、韓志勳、金丘林、金容翼、Jeff Koons、蛙王（郭孟浩）、林飛龍、梁碩、Fausto Melotti、Mihai Olos、小野洋子、Gabriel Orozco、彭薇、Mark Ryden、Andres Serrano、宋冬、Rebekka Steiger、Mircea Suclu、營木志雄、Frank Walters、Tom Wesselmann、Harumi Yamaguchi、楊詰蒼、餘政達以及喻紅。

長徵空間將其在藝廊薈萃（Galleries)展區的的中國藝術家喻紅（生於1966 年）作品展出延伸至策展角落展區，展示一個虛擬實境項目，近距離地探討藝術家的生活。
本年度將是雪梨Artspace行政總監Alexie Glass-Kantor連續第四年策展「藝聚空間」展區， 展區內將呈獻博物館規模裝置藝術作品以及場地特定項目，其中九件全新作品專門為此次 展會創作。2018年度的「藝聚空間」展區將再次於兩層展會會場的四條開闊大道上展出，參展藝術家包括Isabel與Alfredo Aquilizan、周育正、遠藤利克、Ryan Gander、 Subodh Gupta、Ivan Navarro、Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran、大卷伸嗣、Jorge Pardo、 Erwin Wurm、 Ulla von Brandenburg，以及Nyapanyapa Yunupingu。

《Start. Stop》（2008年），由阿拉裡奧畫廊代表展出。藝術家Subodh Gupta透過創作大型紀念碑式作品，探索與印度生活及文化相關的主題，備受國際關注。

馬凌畫廊將首次呈現藝術家周育正（Chou Yu-Cheng,生於1976年）的全新表演藝術作品《Refresh, Sacrifice, New Hygiene, Infection, Clean, Robot, Air, Housekeeping, www.ayibang.com, Cigarette, Dyson, Modern People》（2017）。

《Left Wing Project (Belok Kiri Jalan Terus)》（2017 – 2018年）是由藝術家雙人組合Isabel 與Alfredo Aquilizan（分別生於1965及1962年）創作的全新大型場地特定裝置作品，由Yavuz Gallery 展出。

為慶祝「光映現場」展區踏入第五周年，巴塞爾藝術展將隆重呈獻59部精選電影及錄像作品。今年，「光映現場」不僅從參展畫廊提交的創作中甄選了一系列電影及錄像作品，亦與致力推廣錄像作品及新媒體的香港非營利組織錄影太奇攜手合作，呈獻白南準的作品，以及眾多來自香港及中國內地的藝術家們受其啟發的創作。
