十二生肖：

指中國民俗文化中的 12 種動物。

是人們出生年份指代的動物，又叫屬相。

Chinese zodiac : 

12 animals of  traditonal Chinese culture.

The animals of the years people were born  , also known as "shu  xiang " .

之前的文章中我們也提過中國傳統日曆的曆法是按天幹地支來計算的。

因為是12地支【分別是子（zǐ） 、醜（chǒu） 、寅（yín） 、卯（mǎo） 、辰（chén） 、巳（sì） 、午（wǔ） 、未（wèi）、申（shēn） 、酉（yǒu） 、戌（xū） 、亥（hài）】，所以生肖也是12個，即每個地支後面加一種動物。

他們就變成了子鼠、醜牛、寅虎、卯兔、辰龍、巳蛇、午馬、未羊、申猴、酉雞、戌狗、亥豬。

In the previous article, we also mentioned that the traditional Chinese calendar is according to TianGan and DiZhi. Because DiZhi has 12 【（zǐ） 、（chǒu） 、（yín） 、（mǎo） 、（chén） 、（sì） 、（wǔ） 、（wèi）、（shēn） 、（yǒu） 、（xū） 、（hài）】, so the Chinese zodiac is also 12, and add an animal after each DiZhi. 

They are   Zi rat , Chou ox, Yin tiger, Mao rabbit, Chen dragon, Si snake, Wu horse, Wei sheep, Shen monkey, You rooster, Xu dog and Hai pig.

當然，生肖以12為周期，所以他們是有順序的。
