中西文化描寫外貌特徵 Unit 9 What does he look like? 句詞不同

隨著全球化進程的不斷深入，世界各地人們無論是何種語言，在進行交流時，都越來越重視自己和他人的相貌描述。就中西文化而言，尤其是英語語言受眾的國家，像英國和美國，和中華文化相比，在描述人的外貌時是有很大的不同。本單元以談論人的外貌（Physical appearance）為切入點，能正確使用選擇疑問句，詢問人的外貌並進行簡單的回答，也可以使用一些句子詢問並描述人的外貌（Describe people's looks）。例如：What does he/she look like? He's really tall./She has long straight hair; He is short/tall/medium height. 這些句型在表達人的相貌時得到了很好的應用。

01學習任務書一：有關外貌描述的詞彙以及相關句型，口語表達時很受用

在熟悉這些詞彙時，教材給了我們特定的場景，地鐵站接朋友。因為不認識，所以自然地引入了詢問和簡單描述人物外貌特徵，就涉及到如下詞彙和句型。

有關外貌描述的句型：Is he tall or short? He's tall. Do they have straight or curly hair ？ They have curly hair. He's thin/heavy; He has straight/curly hair. They wear glasses. He is short and heavey old man.

特殊疑問句和選擇疑問句用來描述外貌的句子。 What does your friend look like? She is tall./She is of medium height./She wears glasses. Is he tall or short? He's tall. Do they have straight or curly hair ？ They have curly hair.
