有誰願躲在避風的港口，寧願波濤洶湧的自由。小鵬哥最佩服的兩類人：一是文學家;二是企業家。曾經，我和歐亞總裁曹和平交流，他的話語記憶猶新：「男人就是要走一條披荊斬棘之路。」企業的企字，上面為人，下面為止，眾歸則才聚，才聚則企業強。21世紀最貴的是人才。企業間的競爭，終歸還是人才的競爭。巨人集團的史玉柱破產之時，還有百人的創業團隊堅守在其身旁，堅信東山再起。馬雲創業之處，依賴是18羅漢。

為何提高員工技能是企業發展的最佳選擇：
1. 企業家也是戰略家，應該具有前瞻性和憂患意識。企業的競爭其實就是人才的競爭，每個創業者都渴望企業強大，而企業強勁發展的基石就是不斷地提高員工的效能。《企業家》曾經採訪過很多成功的創業者，很多人表達：吸引人才和培養人才為企業的發展注入了新鮮的活力。
2. 企業高效運行和提高效率的方式之一就是建立標準化的管理流程。換言之，一流的企業都有標準化的員工培訓項目，對於高管，也會定期提供提升職業技能的機會。以新東方為例，很多入職教師都會定期在北京新東方接受培訓，同時，對於很多優秀的教學管理者，他們還有機會去英美國家定期學習。因此，規律的員工培訓項目是提高員工效能，增強企業員工歸屬感和凝聚力的重要因素。
3. 爭議使我想起叔叔保羅創業的故事，叔叔是創業者。創業之初，新職員被僱傭後要花費很長時間去適應工作以及熟悉工作流程。叔叔開始花費重金提供職業技能培訓，以使他們精通業務。使叔叔無比欣慰的是：培訓後的新職員很少犯錯，可以更快地適應工作。
