What are 『teacher preparation』 days?
「教師準備日」是什麼呢？
Teacher Preparation Days are days when our teaching staff prepare the classroom, curriculum and materials ready for the children to play and learn.
「教師準備日」是我們的教職員工準備好教室，課程和材料為了接下來孩子們的學習和玩耍。
What are Parent Teacher Conference Days?
什麼家長老師會議日？
At our Parent Teacher Conferences, each child’s family is allocated a 30 minute intensive meeting time to discuss the child’s progress and development, areas of strength and weakness as well as any problems or questions that the parent may have. These are scheduled mid-semester twice per school year. Parents must attend. On these days, there is no school for children.
在我們的家長老師會議中，每個孩子的家庭會有30分鐘的時間和老師討論孩子的發展和進步，不同領域的能力和還需要提高的地方，以及各方面的問題。時間安排為每學期的中期，每學年舉行2次。家長必須參加。這幾天，孩子不用到校。
Why do we not have weekend make-up days after a 3-day public holiday?
為什麼在3天的公眾假期後我們不在周末補課？
The extensive research showing the negative effects of schooling longer than 5 days per week for young children has led us to make the decision not to have make-up days for our young children. Our whole school philosophy is built around fostering emotionally healthy young children and we strongly believe that ample and quality rest and family time is essential for this positive growth.
經研究表明，五天以上的上學時間對早期兒童是有負面影響的，所以我們決定不給我們的小朋友補課。我們學校的理念是培養情感健康的孩子。我們也強烈的相信充足的有質量的休息以及家庭時間能給到積極正面的發展。

As an International school with a team of professional International staff, we are obliged to observe the most important Western holiday of Christmas so that our staff can join their families at this time.

What is Summer Camp?
什麼是夏令營？
Every year during the Summer months we will organise a Summer Camp for those children who are not traveling to attend. This is an additional programme, more details of which are published every year in May.
每學年的暑假時間，我們會為沒有出遊的孩子準備夏令營。這是一個自選課程，每學年的5月份會發布詳細的信息。
Important note for Children new to our school.
新學員重要通知
For the month of September, all children who are joining kindergarten for the first time or who are under 3 years old will attend a morning only programme and will need to be collected from School by 11:30am. After the October holidays, the teacher will assess each child's emotional preparedness for a full-day programme. Separation upset is very common in young children and is nothing to be concerned about. It is however something that we must acknowledge and respond accordingly to. Children who are experiencing strong emotional difficulties in separating from their caregiver will be given a longer 1/2 day settling in period until the teacher feels s/he is emotionally secure.

9月份開始，孩子們將會第一次進入幼兒園或者有一些不滿3周歲的孩子只會參加早上的課程並在上午11:30被接走。在國慶假期後，老師將從孩子的情感方面評估孩子是否準備好接受全天課程。分離焦慮是常見問題，家長不用太擔心。這些是我們應該接受並給出相應回應的事情。對正在經歷較為嚴重的分離期的孩子我們將會適當延長半天的課程，直到孩子能在情感上感到安全。
