Working hard or overworking?
Does time spent working always mean working hard?
What do you think of '9-9-6 work schedule' ?
manager knows how to encourage employees full potential
affects their performance, life
competition is so intense, replace, deny promotion
abandon the culture, work smarter, more efficiently, balance life
example:
I don't think anyone wants to work overtime.
Firstly, working too many hours only means you are inefficient. This means it takes you longer to produce something than someone else. Overworking is just modern slavery. A good manager knows how to encourage his employees to work to their full potential instead of expect them to work late even if they didn't have something to do.
Secondly, people who stay in their office until late resent their jobs and it affects their performance, as well as other aspects of their life.
While the fact is the competition is so intense if you don't work hard someone will easily and willingly replace you, especially in the IT industry. Employees are told they need to work longer hours or they are denied promotions.
It is time to abandon the culture of overworking, to work smarter, more efficiently and have a balance with personal life.
