一天一個英語小知識，相信日積月累的力量。
Swear /Oath/Pledge/Vow這幾個詞都有發誓、誓言的意思，你知道他們的區別嗎？
（1）swear：動詞，(尤指對上帝，上天)發誓
Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.--你能發誓講實話，講出全部實話，而且只講實話嗎？
（2）pledge：動詞/名詞，保證、承諾
①動詞：The government pledged their support for the plan. --政府保證支持這項計劃。
②名詞：Has he fulfilled his election pledge?--他履行競選時的承諾了嗎？
（3）oath：名詞，誓言，通常指：個人正式的宣誓
He took an oath of loyalty to the government.--他宣誓效忠政府。
（4）Vow：動詞：發誓；名詞：往往指宗教方面的誓言
①動詞：She vowed never to speak to him again. --她發誓再也不和他說話了。
②名詞：I made a silent vow to be more careful in the future.--我暗暗發誓，日後要倍加小心。
（5）總結：
swear：發誓，口語中最常用，
pledge：保證，承諾，書面語中常用；
oath：宣誓，正式場合才用；
vow：名詞宗教中用，動詞發誓，口語中=swear
