It’s understood that at this year’s Expo, Guangxi Beibu-Gulf Economic Zone Planning Construction and Administration Office, together with nearly 10 industry partners, took part in the event, aiming at the goal of constructing a world first-class port and the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port, and highlighting achievements and future planning of the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port in smart port construction, sea-rail intermodal transportation development and opening up and cooperation.
According to Huang Zijian, 2-level principal staff member from the Port Development Division of Guangxi Beibu-Gulf Economic Zone Planning Construction and Administration Office, the layout this year integrated multiple technologies, i.e. 3D face, VR, and dynamic data platforms, to achieve interactive experience. As to the next step, Beibu Gulf will gradually build a smart port and integrate information resources such as logistics chains and value chains based on data-driven Internet of Things information platforms. It will achieve smart port management and decision-making based on information platforms, enhance rail-sea, road-sea and sea-sea logistics connection, and reduce logistics and transaction costs.
