01常見用法：
1. seem後常常跟（to be）形容詞，名詞等：
You seem very silent today; what's the matter?
你今天看起來很沉默，怎麼了？
She did not seem at all afraid.
她似乎一點也不害怕。
The children always seem to be hungry.
孩子們似乎總是餓。
Life seemed on a sudden empty and meaningless.
生活突然變得空虛而毫無意義。
The trip seemed rather boring for a young boy.
對一個小男孩來說，這次旅行似乎很無聊。
He did not seem at all interested in the subject.
他似乎對這個問題一點也不感興趣。
There seem to be fewer tourists around this year.
今年的遊客似乎少了。
You don't seem quite yourself today.
你今天看起來不太自在。
2. seem後也常常跟動詞不定式to do：
I can't seem to get warm.
我好像暖和不起來。
Women seem to find him attractive.
女人們似乎覺得他很有魅力。
注意：這種結構裡，否定句是don’t seem不是seem not to do。
Politics does not seem to interest him at all.
他對政治似乎一點也不感興趣。
He didn't seem to mind public opinion in the least.
他似乎一點也不介意輿論。
The noise doesn't seem to worry them.
噪音似乎不讓他們擔心。
3. seem to have done用來表達發生在過去的事。
The tickets seem to have got lost.
票好像丟了。
She seems to have accumulated a lot of books.
她好像已經買了很多書。
The teacher didn't seem to have done much preparation for the class.
老師似乎沒有為上課做太多準備。
4. seem to be doing表達正在發生的的事。
The brakes don't seem to be working properly.
剎車好像失靈了。
We seem to be straying from the main theme of the debate.
