牛津大學、香港城市大學聯合成立的oxford-cityu centre for cerebro-cardiovascular health engineering (coche),與karolinska研究所共同發起:針對大規模腦心血管疾病(cvd)的研究項目(ocche),涵蓋從可穿戴醫療設備,生物傳感,醫學成像和基於人工智慧(ai)的預測和診斷系統到智能治療設備。ocche的使命是通過與香港政府、世界領先的大學、行業和醫院緊密合作,在大灣區建立一個健康技術的生態系統,該生態系統不僅產生創新的技術,而且將其快速有效地轉化為商業用途。

課題組負責人簡介:
周仁傑博士是香港中文大學生物醫學工程學系助理教授。
他於2017年加入中大電子系,隨後參與創建生物醫學工程學系並成立雷射測量與生物醫學實驗室(https://www.lambcuhk.org)。
周教授於 2014 年獲得伊利諾伊大學厄巴納-香檳分校 (uiuc) 電氣與計算機工程博士學位(博士導師:dr. lynford goddard 與dr. gabriel popescu)。他的博士論文側重於開發晶圓缺陷檢測的儀器和解決細胞成像的 3d 逆散射問題。2014-2017 年,他在麻省理工學院 gr harrison 光譜實驗室擔任博士後研究助理(導師:dr. peter t. c. so)。
周博士發表了40多篇期刊論文(包括以第一作者發表論文於nature photonics、nano letters、lasers & photonics review),做了20餘場會議報告,並舉辦了20餘場研討會。
他獲得的研究獎項包括 2019 年裘槎前沿科研大獎;伊利諾伊大學與貝克曼研究所阿諾德·貝克曼獎學金、p. d. coleman 傑出研究獎、以及 yuen t. lo 傑出研究生研究獎;spie光學與光子學獎學金、newport spectra-physics 研究卓越旅行補助金;osa jean bennett 紀念學生旅行補助金決賽入圍者。
他是 osa 高級會員、spie 會員、以及 ieee 光子學會會員。他是 2018 年 cleo 環太平洋會議的超分辨成像研討會聯合主席,目前是 spie photonics west 的定量相位成像會議和基於新興數字微鏡器件的系統和應用會議的編委。他擔任30多個國際期刊的審稿人。

The Business School Research Scholarship is a postgraduate research scholarship to support outstanding PhD or Master of Philosophy (MPhil) students across the University of Sydney Business School’s 10 Disciplines.
To be considered for the scholarship, apply for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Business) prior to the close date.
Benefits:
Stipend of $35,629 per year (indexed annually on 1st January) for 3.5 years for PhD recipients (with a possibility to extend to four years, subject to approval), or up to 1.5 years for Master of Philosophy (MPhil) recipients.
Academic tuition fees are also provided for international recipients, for 3.5 years for PhD recipients (with a possibility to extend to four years, subject to approval), or up to 1.5 years for (MPhil) recipients

PhD position in Experimental Evolution
The recently formed group of Dr. Macarena Toll-Riera is seeking a PhD student to study the limits of thermal adaptation through the combination of experimental and high-throughput sequencing approaches. We are hosted at the Institute of Integrative Biology, in the Professorship of Evolutionary Biology.
Project background:
Climate change is increasing the global mean temperature, but also the frequency and severity of heat waves. The potential for organisms to adapt to warmer environments, especially if temperatures approach or exceed their upper thermal tolerance, is currently unknown. Recent research suggests that there might be hard physiological boundaries that limit the extension of upper thermal tolerance. But, is it possible to overcome the hard limit in upper thermal tolerance?
In this project we will investigate the evolvability of upper thermal tolerance and its potential limits using a cold-adapted bacterium isolated from Antarctica. We have recently adapted this cold-adapted bacterium to high temperatures, but we have encountered a hard limit. We will use several approaches to investigate whether we can overcome this hard limit.
Job description:
The candidate will use molecular tools to engineer the genome of the cold-adapted bacterium and she/he will couple laboratory evolution experiments to next generation sequencing to disentangle the genomic basis of adaptation to high temperatures.
We offer 3 years of funding and to be part of a small, but collaborative and dynamic group. We are hosted at the Institute of Integrative Biology, ETH Zurich. Your profile:
You should hold a master degree in a relevant area such as evolutionary biology or microbiology, have a genuine interest in evolutionary biology and have a good command of English. Microbiological techniques, molecular cloning and programming skills are an asset.
You should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, curious and able to work independently but also as a team member.

We have vacancies for one to three four-year PhD-positions at the Department of Psychology. The positions are related to the field of psychology in the PhD program in social sciences at the Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences.
We are looking for PhD candidates who, together with supervisors from the Department, want to formulate and investigate innovative research questions within the field of psychology.
You will report to the Head of Department.
Required selection criteria:
The PhD-position's main objective is to qualify for work in research positions. The qualification requirement is that you have completed a master’s degree, or equivalent education, in psychology. Candidates with a lower degree in psychology and a master’s degree in adjoining fields can be considered if the project proposal has a solid foundation in psychology.
Your education must correspond to a five-year Norwegian degree program, where 120 credits are obtained at master's level.
You must have a strong academic background from your previous studies and an average grade from the master's degree program, or equivalent education, which is equal to B or better compared with NTNU's grading scale. If you do not have letter grades from previous studies, you must have an equally good academic foundation. If you are unable to meet these criteria, you may be considered only if you can document that you are particularly suitable for education leading to a PhD degree.
You must meet the requirements for admission to the faculty's doctoral programme.
When hiring PhD candidates, the following criteria will be emphasized:
The project proposal’s quality and feasibility. It is expected that the applicant has made a significant contribution to the development of the proposal.

You must establish contact with a potential main supervisor at the Department of Psychology. The main supervisor must comment on the project and its feasibility. If you are an applicant without educational background from NTNU, you must approach potential supervisors at the Department. The Department will assist candidates to establish contact if necessary.
You must be fluent in a Scandinavian language or in English.
Salary and conditions:
As a PhD candidate (code 1017) you are normally paid from gross NOK 482 200 per annum before tax, depending on qualifications and seniority. From the salary, 2% is deducted as a contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.
The period of employment is 4 years; 25% of the position is devoted to required duties, usually in the form of teaching activities or bachelor project supervision according the Department of Psychology’s need.
Appointment to a PhD position requires that you are admitted to the PhD programme in Social Sciences with specialization Psychology within three months of employment, and that you participate in an organized PhD programme during the employment period.
