much too和too much因為是同樣兩個詞，只是位置不同，還是比較容易混淆的。
那麼我們怎麼區別它們？
一，much too（太，實在太，非常）
much副詞修飾too；too是副詞，修飾形容詞或副詞。
也就是說，too後面是形容詞或副詞：
'I can walk home.'
'Don't be silly-it's much too far!'
「我可以步行回家。」
「別傻了，這太遠了！」
The house was priced much too high.
這房子定價太高了。
He was driving much too fast.
他開車太快了。
This cake is much too sweet.
這個蛋糕太甜了。
You'll never marry her-she's much too good for you.
你娶不到她的。你是癩蛤蟆想吃天鵝肉。
You've drunk much too much to drive.
你喝得太多了，不能開車。

二，too much（太多的；太多；過分）
too是程度副詞，修飾much。
1，too much（太多的）
much是形容詞，修飾名詞，即much後面是名詞：
There is too much noise in this class.
這個班裡太吵了。
Too much experience is a dangerous thing.
經驗過多反而危險。（王爾德）
Too much water drowned the miller.
過猶不及。
（太多的水淹死了磨坊主。）
Too much knowledge makes the head bald.
學問太多催人老。
The fruit seller charged me too much money.
賣水果的人收了我太多錢。
2，too much（太多）
much還可以是代詞，沒有被它修飾的詞彙：
Too much spoils, too little is nothing.
過多反壞事,太少不濟時。
Always remember too little, too much forgotten.
總是這樣,記得的太少,忘記得太多。
One enemy is too much, and a hundred friends are not enough.
一個敵人太多,一百個朋友還不夠。
Happiness is a way station between too little and too much.
幸福就是，不多也不少，一份剛剛好。
3，too much（過分）
可以做修飾形容詞，副詞和動詞
Better not say too much aloud.
最好不要說的太大聲。
Don't stray from the point too much.
不要過分離題。
