形容詞短語是指由幾個形容詞或形容詞及其修飾語構的短語，通常在句中作定語或者表語。用法：a drop of的複數形式是drops of，後常接表示液體的不可數名詞，如rain,sweat, tear等。例句：A drop of sweat slid down from the hard-working farmer’s head.語法點：該例句用的是一般過去時態，一般過去時用來表示過去發生的動作或存在的狀態，句子中的謂語動詞要用過去式。句子的謂語動詞slid是slide的過去式。用法：a few修飾可數名詞，表示「一些，幾個」。需要注意的是跟few的區別，few表示「幾乎沒有」。例句：Beyond my career, my facility with languages has given me a few rare opportunities. （2015年12月四級）用法：a flood o與a lot of的用法相同，後接可數名詞和不可數名詞。例句：A flood of tourists were trapped in the valley due to the heavy rain.語法點：該例句用了被動語態，被動語態的結構是「be動詞+及物動詞的過去分詞」,可用於各種時態。be動詞本身並沒有詞義，但有時態、人稱和數的變化。用法：a glass of經常與表示水、牛奶和酒的詞彙連用，需要注意與a cup of的區別，後者常與茶和咖啡連用。例句：In order to fall asleep quickly, she added sleeping pills to a glass of milk.I poured us a glass of sherry. 我給大家倒了杯雪利酒。President Donald Trump delivered a speech in Jamestown about the colony's 400-year-old history, but the event was disrupted by a Democratic protestor.【Newsweek】
