Haba Snow Mountain is a mountain rising above the Mt. Everest due to Himalaya orogeny in Shangri-La, Yunnan China. 「Haba」 is a word from Naxi, means gold flower. It stands 5396m and rises opposite the higher Yulong Xueshan and towers 3500m above the river. This formidable relative elevation forms a distinct Alpine vertical climate.
Legend has it that Haba Snow Mountain and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain are two brothers. But Haba Snow Mountain is not as famous as Jade Dragon Snow Mountain though it is close to it. Because of this, the commercial breath is not so strong that the original ecology has been remained. The world famous Tiger Leaping Gorge is located between the Haba Snow Mountain and the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the gorge is several decameters deep. And you can hear the roar of Lancang River running from the bottom.
4000m up in Haba Snow Mountain Nature Reserve are steep snow peaks, flowstone slope and glacier. The terrain below 4000m slopes gentle, the landscape shows ladder-like distribution with temperate zone, followed by cold temperate zone and cold zone. This can be concluded as the miniature of climate in the whole northwest of Yunnan, the temperature differences between bottom and top of the mountain is 22.8℃. The natural scenery consists of main peak, Moraine Lake, azalea and snow mountain waterfalls.

Meet in Lijiang (2400m) airport；Have one night in Lijiang
Can take flight at night, suggested flight:
20:30-00:30 Shanghai Pudong - Lijiang
or 15:00 - 18:50 Shanghai Pudong -Lijiang
Then about 30mins taxi to the hotel at Lijiang Old Town. (Hotel can arrange airport pickup at your own cost)
D2-DEC 22ND
About 3-4 hours driving from Lijiang to Haba village
We will hike to Haba at some point; Picnic lunch in the nature; About 2-3 hours hiking to Haba Village.
When arrived, can walk around haba village and buy some snack or fruits for the upcoming days
D3-DEC 23RD
Today 6-7 hours hiking to the Heihai Lake (about 4100m); Mostly uphills - go through nice forest and passby beautiful pasture.
D4-DEC 24TH
Hiking from the Heihai Lake to BC (4100M), about 3-4 hours hiking ; Rest in the BC and get ready for tomorrow summit day;
We will prepare for our gears for tomorrow and brief in the afternoon.
And it's Christmas Eve, Let's have a little bit celebration and rest early to get ready for tomorrow summit day.
D5-DEC 25TH
Haba Base Camp - SUMMIT (5396m) - Haba Base Camp
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! WISH WE WILL BE ALL ON THE SUMMIT!!!!

Re-check that you have packed all your equipments and food/water; Then breakfast; After breakfast, everyone will have one own guide for the summit day, the experienced local guide will guide and help you to the summit and make sure your safety.
* Total 21km hiking: 6km from the BC (4100m) to the Summit (5396m) and then 6km going down to BC;
D6-DEC 26TH
Haba Base Camp - Haba Village - Lijiang
About 10km hiking from BC to Haba Village. Then we will have lunch in the village and then drive about 4 hours to Lijiang.
* If you are planing to go back to Shanghai tonight, please book it at late night and then we will slightly change time according to the earliest flight.
# NOTE: It's Saturday today, so can have one more night in Lijiang and go back Shanghai on Sunday.
