關於尷尬的那些事~
「尷尬」這個詞呢，一般在英文當中有兩種翻譯—Embarrassed和Awkward，兩者在含義上十分十分的相近，但是，仔細探究，兩者的差別還是很明顯的，今天Sherry就要具體講講兩者之間的不同之處。
embarrassed adj. 尷尬的；窘迫的
v. 使...困窘；使...局促不安
awkwardadj. 尷尬的；笨拙的；棘手的
embarrassed用作形容詞時，它一般形容的是很難處理或讓人感到羞愧的事件或事件。
awkward用作形容詞時，它一般形容的是缺乏技能或能力的人。
換句話說，
embarrassed是你自己感到內疚和羞恥，通常是因為你做錯了什麼事。
awkward是令人不舒服的社交場合的結果。可能會令你embarrassed，也可能不會。
舉個慄子：
The young boy was awkward playing the piano for the first time.
這個小男孩第一次彈鋼琴很笨拙。
The fundraiser was embarrassing for the organisers as only twenty people showed up to the event.
募捐活動令組織者很尷尬，因為只有20人出席了活動。
另外，需要注意的是一個人也會在embarrassing的情況下會感awkward。

The daughter felt awkward when her father gave her a hug in front of all her friends. It was a very embarrassing situation for her.
