Creativity, I think, is one of the most important human qualities. Without creativity, there would be little progress. Fortunately, our country has always been seeking innovation. Over the past decades, we have made great progress in many fields.
Let me take the rise of China's movie industry as an example. When I was in primary school, the most popular movie of the year was always a foreign one. People were attracted by the exciting action, the cool special effects (特效) and the creative stories. Chinese movies, however, were often criticized. Although there were famous actors in the movies, the stories were boring.
Chinese movie-makers were not unaware of this problem. We, Chinese people, are never afraid of difficulties. We never give up. Despite the challenges, Chinese movie-makers kept seeking progress.
Finally, in 2017, a movie titled Wolf Warriors (《戰狼》) hit theaters. It was so great that it impressed the whole country and, later, the world. It was the first time I had felt excited to see a Chinese movie. I saw hope. Wolf Warriors earned more than 5.6 billion yuan at the global box office. This success was not surprising to me. It represented the creativity of Chinese movie-makers.
The rise of the movie industry is only an example of the great progress China has made over the past 70 years. I believe China's future will be brighter—with our creativity.
