英語語法:不可數名詞的定量表示-表示個數

名詞可以分為可數名詞（Countable Noun）和不可數名詞（Uncountable Noun）。一般說來，可數名詞表示具體個別存在的事物，如人、物體、動植物、團體以及總體中的部分。不可數名詞表示不能單人存在的事物，如物質形態、抽象概念等。

 

有些事物在漢語概念中是可數的，但在英語中卻是不可數的，例如：furniture家具，soap肥皂，chalk粉筆， equipment設備，luggage行李等。

 

可數名詞可以被不定冠詞a(n)修飾，而且有複數形式，而不可數名詞不能被不定冠詞a(n)修飾，沒有複數形式。

 

1.不可數名詞的定量表示

基數詞不可以修飾不可數名詞，但某些表示個體性的單位詞可以與不可數名詞連用表示定量概念。這類單位詞有四類：

（1）表示個數，如piece, item, article, bit等。例如：

 

a piece of paper一張紙

an item of news一則新聞

an article of clothing一件衣服

a bit of wood一片木頭

 

雙語例句：

He ticked off my name on a piece of paper.

他在一張紙上我的名字旁打了鉤。

 

An article or a report giving further information on a previously reported item of news. 

追蹤報導一篇文章或報導，用來給先前報導過的新聞提供進一步的信息。

 

There bloodall round the horse, and a big bit of woodin its stomach. 

它渾身都是血，肚子上還插著一大塊木頭。
