We can turn on the lights.
我們可以開燈。
Mom: Baby, it’s getting dark. Let’s go home.（寶貝，天黑了，我們回家吧。）
Baby: OK, Mom. Where is the sun when it goes down?（好的，媽媽。太陽落山後去哪裡了？）
Mom: It goes to the other side of the earth.（它去了地球的另一邊。）
Baby: I don’t like night, because I feel a little bit scared.（我不喜歡晚上，因為我有點害怕。）
Mom: But we can turn on the lights, and I’m with you. （但我們可以開燈啊，而且我和你在一起。）

the的常見用法
關於the的用法，我們通常第一反應就是「用來表示特指說話雙方都明白的人或物」，但其實它的用法不僅如此，接下來就介紹它的其他常見用法：
1、指世上獨一物二的事物：
the sun, the sky, the moon, the earth
2、the+形容詞，表示一類人：
the rich 富人; the living 生者.
3、用在序數詞和形容詞最高級,及形容詞only,very,same等前面：
live on the second floor.我住在二層.
That’s the verything I』ve been lookingfor.那正是我要找的東西.
4、用在某些由普通名詞構成的專有名詞前：
the People’s Republic ofChina 中華人民共和國
the United States 美國
5、用在表示樂器的名詞之前：
She plays the piano.她會彈鋼琴.
6、用在姓氏的複數名詞之前,表示一家人：
the Greens 格林一家人 (或格林夫婦)
是不是發現the的用法還挺多，中文中通常忽略定冠詞，所以大家在使用的時候一定不要漏掉哦！
