The city of Los Angeles proclaimed Aug. 24 Kobe Bryant Day in 2016, not long after his retirement.

To most of us, Gasol is one of the greatest and most cherished Lakers ever. To Bryant’s daughters — Natalia, Bianka and Capri — he’s simply 「Uncle Pau.」 Pau is just simply one of the best and nicest humans to ever walk the planet. As horrible as 2020 has been, stuff like this just reminds you that there are still good people in the world. We should all be so lucky as to have a Pau in our lives.
