南加大附近的治安據說較不好喔...若請校方郵寄全校目錄要US$16.5元，但網路已可提供pdf檔下載，此外由於該校每年申請者非常多，會提供申請者專屬編號與標籤供你使用
要申請MFA學位的必須先向校方教務處索取申請表，以獲得重要的編號和條碼，然後準備三封推薦信，以及二十張幻燈片(直接寄到系上)，還有學校英文成績單.

1.你對南加大的School of Fine Arts有什麼了解? Not much. But I know that the animation program here is so famous. Plus， Hollywood is not far from USC， there must be a lot of interaction between Hollywood and USC. Students major in TV， Cinema and Animation have to study 3 years to obtain their MFA degrees.
2.據說南加大的動畫研究所是全美少數的動畫研究所之一.能不能提一下你在這方面的看法? There are ， actually， a lot of animation school (MA/MFA) besides USC. For example， SVA， Ohio State Univ. (ACCAD)， University of Illinois at Chicago (electronic visualization)， Texas A&M， Pratt， Art Center College of Design， California Institute of the Art， Minneapolis College of Art and Design， School of the Art Institute at Chicago， School of the Museum of Fine Art..... USC is one of these schools that provides animation programs， but the other are also outstanding!
3. 南加大的校園如何?The USC campus is "not bad"， at least to me. Yet it is not as big as UCLA because USC is closed to the downtown LA.
4.南加大的天氣如何呢?The climate of Los Angeles is very good since LA was once a desert! But there is less moisture here than in Taiwan. You don't need to worry the weather here. It's not as cold as New York， Boston or Chicago in winter. Frankly speaking， LA is warm in the whole year.
5. 南加大的學費和生活費如何呢? Lots of people say that the tuition fee of USC is extremely expensive. It's true in some facts. So far， the fee is about US$800/credit. However， I just need to take 27 credits and then can earn the MS degree. Some other schools have cheaper tuition fee for each credit， yet students in those schools have to take more and more than 27 credits to get their degree. Generally speaking， it's much precisely to calculate the total tuition fee you will spend during your whole study rather than the cost per credit. As to the living fee， it's expensive for the housing if you live near the campus. Yet if you have a car， you can live further the campus and the rent for housing will be much cheaper. Food， clothing and other parts for living are not so expensive in LA.
6. 南加大的學費最近會調漲嗎?有沒有聽說什麼關於學校行政異動的消息?The tuition fee always rises each year (fall). Since I am working now for summer internship， I didn't hear any news regarding the changes of administration.
7. 南加大的校園安全如何?The public security at USC is so so， but not too bad. However， the security is not good around the campus. So， it is not very safe for girls to live around the campus.
8. 住在學校方便嗎?The dorminatories of USC are expensive and the qualities are not good. The students I know almost live outside campus.
9. 國際學生多不多?In fact， there are thousands of international students are studying at USC. Right now， there are about 7~8 hundred Taiwanese students over here. Amazing?
10. 臺灣同學會的組織運作中，你覺得有哪些是值得鼓勵，哪些是需要改進的?CCC holds some activities each semester， and tries to help the new coming students. That's good for Taiwanese students.
11. 你系上的老師好不好?At first， I have to make sure what "好不好" is. If the meaning of "好不好" is the professional knowledge of the faculty， then the answer is definitely correct. Many professors in Computer Science Department at USC are so smart and talent， and they have great reputation in the computer industries. However， if the definition of "好不好" is the interaction among the faculty and students (master)， then I need to say the answer is NO!
12. 你找工作容易嗎?To computer science students， it's not hard to find a job since the job market (computer industry) is still growing up quickly. Therefore， if you can write computer programs (C/C++， Java， HTML...)， it is not a problem to obtain a job.
