With the rapid development of economy, we have earned much money to improve our life’s level, such as buying beautiful clothing, eating delicious feast, affording fashion car and living in a big house. But have you smelled the smelly air with a mixture of auto emissions and factory fumes? Have you seen the rivers with floating dead fish bodies? Have you noticed the trees on the roadside which was covered with thick dust? All these phenomena resulted from the unplanned 、disordered economic development. So the environmental protection is an urgent action and closed related to our living environment.
For one thing, the government should bear the most responsibility for environmental protection. First, government needs to legislate to promote the process of protection. There must be a law to rule our economic actions and punish our illegal acts. Second，government spreads the advanced scientific method of manufacture. If the factory improved the level of science and technology, they would increase the resource utilization rate and actively initiative responsible for environmental protection. Moreover, government takes necessary measures to arouse people’s consciousness of environmental protection. For example, displaying some ads on TV shows, opening some free class to improve residents』 awareness and put forward concrete suggestions, putting some exhibited board on the roadside to remind passerby.
For another thing, the whole world consists of individuals. So we ourselves should realize the severe situation of environment pollution and the importance of environmental protection. First, we need to develop a habit of turning off the lights and other electrical devices switch when we went out. And the power station needn’t to burn more coal and natural gas. Second, we try to do the garbage classification because some kinds of waste are recyclable, like bottles, papers and clothing, which can be reused as materials to make other products. Furthermore, some wastes contained the poisonous chemical substances, like battery、 bulb, which do large harm to environment. It may pollute our underground water and poison the creatures in the river. Last but not least, we try to take the public vehicles rather than private car. It can improve the resource utilization because a certain gas for public vehicles can carry more people than private ones. Besides, it can reduce the amount of air pollutants, such as CO、HC、CO2 and PC, which would cause respiratory diseases and green house effect.
Remembering that we just only have one world to live, what we do is directly related to ourselves and our generations. It is our inescapable obligation to protect our environment. But the excessive resource development and the followed pollution have destroyed more than what we do to protect. It reminds us that environmental protection is impatient to wait and we have a long road to do it.
