首先，請翻譯一句話：He said that that ’that』 that that man used was wrong.。

它們的區別在於：
1.Which引導關係從句--就是用來補充說明，無論有沒有都對主句的意思沒有影響的從句。例如：

在這個例句中，作者假定讀者知道所提及的展覽會，所以展覽地點只是一個補充說明。
2.That引導的從句對事物起定義作用。例如：
The exhibition that was held in the market reserve contained some interesting examples of contemporary sculpture.
這裡，作者假定讀者不知道提及的展覽會，因此要告訴讀者是哪個展覽會：the one in the market reserve， (and not the one in the Botanic Gardens, or the one in the Town Hall)。
因為That引導的從具有定義的作用，把它們刪掉會影響主句的意思。他們和所定義的詞是一個完整的意思單元，因此中間沒有用逗號分隔。
所以，關於文章開頭的那個句子，很多人會換個說法：He said that that ’that』 which that man used was wrong.，但這樣的話又是另一個意思了。
