聖誕老人的傳說
聖誕老人最初的形象歷史上真實存在的一名主教-聖尼古拉斯（Saint Nicholas）。
在公元前280年，Saint Nicholas出生在土耳其的一個小村莊，雖出生在一個富裕人家，但從小心地善良，樂善好施，經常救助窮人。
他喜歡以匿名的方式贈送給當地窮人各種禮物。
有一次他為了幫助生活貧困的孩子們，賣掉了教堂中的所有黃金，於是得到了孩子們的愛戴
在公元346年去世後，他被尊稱為聖人，生前事跡後來演變成今天聖誕老人的傳說。
聖誕節的來源
「聖誕節是西方傳統的節日，起源於基督教，在每年的公曆12月25日，是基督教徒紀念耶穌誕生的日子，我們稱為聖誕節。聖誕節這個名稱是基督彌撒的縮寫，彌撒是基督教會的一種禮拜儀式。」
在西方國家，聖誕節也是一個家庭團聚和喜慶的節日，通常會裝飾聖誕樹，以增加節日的歡樂氣氛。聖誕樹一般是用杉柏之類的常綠樹做成，象徵生命長存。樹上裝飾著各種燈燭、彩花、玩具、星星，掛上各種聖誕禮物。聖誕之夜，人們圍著聖誕樹唱歌跳舞，盡情歡樂。
