I agree with Mr. Wang. If China wants to develop small-scale energy vehicles, I think it must be divided into two steps. In my opinion, the process should be slowed down for electric vehicles to enter ordinary people’s life. Two points should be paid in attention: First, electric vehicles in foreign countries are all promoted by the government. It will test electric vehicles』 technologies, etc., which can really enter into the family, truly embrace the marketization. Second, I agree with public transit. Taking the buses as an industry, it should be developed and optimized high-end products with multi functions. We should develop two kinds of electric vehicles. One is low-end for us with low income, and the other is high-end for communities in big cities and also for export. Although many foreign countries have electric buses, but are not very successful.
I make a proposal of three excellences, two combinations and four goals. Recently, the discussion about technical models and business models are very intense. I believe, whether electric vehicle functions well depends on battery and business model. A good product must have good performance. The first thing about electric vehicle should consider applications, which is able to recharge it best at home. Using in where? In my opinion, it’s best put into use in bus and taxi. For bus, I have investigated several places and have come up with the conclusion that it takes about three to hours to charge at night. Of course, I mean it’s in small and medium cities. Then for taxi, because fast charging of taxi would harm the battery, it’s better to charge battery intelligently with diversity for different applications. Bottom of line, to solve the problem of battery manufacturers, such as replacing battery, I propose that we should respect intellectual property rights of whole vehicle factories, but also give them a certain business interests in commercial policies. Therefore, I believe that the infrastructure of electric vehicle is still under discussion stage. In the future, there will be two ways to charge electric vehicle: slow-speed and fast-speed charging. It’s what I called three excellences.
In order to achieve two combinations, the battery of electric vehicle has two tasks. One task is to provide power and energy for automobiles to let the car run. When the auto stops, the battery is a storage device with compliant electric network. As song as controlling its frequency and battery status, it could interact intelligently. The other task is that electric vehicle should combine with the Internet. I think that our 50 Person Forum is a great form. I wish four goals to be achieved. Zero car accident, full performance of electric vehicles, standardization. Standardization is very important, which allows any automobile charges at anywhere. Through standardization, it’s able to improve auto’s security, increase its interchangeability and also increase its performance. There are two international standards of electric vehicles, IEC and ISO.
Finally, to sum up, we must base on China’s national conditions, utilize our advantages of natural and human resources, develop small low-speed electric vehicles and city range-extended electric buses or pure electric buses, which fulfill market demand and save effective energy. We couldn’t rule out other types of hybrid vehicles acceptable by market, which could accumulate experiences. We need passion, imagination and innovation.
