今天為一家大型語言培訓機構做項目介紹的時候，專門梳理並分析了TEFL與TESOL的關係，解開了困惑她們許久的難題，早先，她們分不清以下情況：1，為什麼招聘的外教有的是持有TEFL證書，有的是持有TESOL證書；
2，外專局要求外教需持有TEFL/TESOL證書；
3，有的人說持有TESOL證書更權威，有的說國內持有TEFL證書更專業；
4，有的認證機構標示出認證的課程體系是TEFL/TESOL課程。
其實在我們公眾號之前也專門介紹過，還有視頻的介紹，今天還是給大家做一個匯總，以此得出最專業的解釋，以解心頭之惑。
「TEFL」 is the acronym for Teaching English as a Foreign Language, or simply, English language instruction for non-native speakers. Also known as Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), English Language Teaching (ELT), and teaching ESL (English as a Second Language).
In practical terms, when these terms are applied to the field of teaching English abroad, there is little or no difference between 「TEFL」 and 「TESOL.」 They are both acronyms that essentially mean the same thing: teaching the English language to non-native speakers. Likewise, in the vast majority cases, when it comes to teaching English abroad, a 「TEFL certification」 and a 「TESOL certification」 are the same and the terms are interchangeable.
On a more technical level, TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) is the term applied to the teaching of English to non-native speakers in native English speaking countries, so those who will earn degrees and work domestically in the field in the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa and US will typically use the term 「TESOL.」
ESL is English which is usually taught to students in an English speaking country. EFL is English which is taught to students in a foreign, non-English speaking country. As it is true of many European countries, where is common to learn to speak more than one foreign language. For these reasons ESL is typically the term used in the United States, an English-speaking nation, whereas EFL is more often the term of choice in countries where English is not the native language.
TEFL stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and traditionally refers to teaching in non-English speaking countries. TESL stands for Teaching English as a Second Language and refers to teaching in English speaking countries, to non-native speakers living or working there.
In practice, the acronyms TEFL and TESL are often used interchangeably, and both are covered by the all-encompassing TESOL, which stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

1，TEFL和TESOL在英語為非母語國家的英語教學中，沒有什麼區別，二者是相同的。所以目前國內大家能看到的TEFL證書，TESOL證書沒有什麼區別，主要看哪個國家認證頒發的，叫法不同。
2，我們也談到過TESOL學歷證書，這個證書是可以在英語為母語國家使用，做英語教學的，如diploma of TESOL，graduate diploma of TESOL，master in TESOL等，這個時候TEFL和TESOL是不能等同的。
3，其實很多外教來中國，他們一般認為持有的資格證書是TEFL證書，而很多外教對於國內的出現的TESOL高級，專家證書深感不惑，認為匪夷所思，因為TESOL高級，專家級別的證書在英語國家的學歷框架體系中有明確的規定分別是graduate diploma of TESOL，master in TESOL這樣的證書課程。

6、英語教師師訓體系；
7、高校英語專業課程體系建設；
