Taiwan typhoon victims expressed gratitude for the mainland

Typhoon victims in Taiwan have expressed their gratitude to help from the mainland.

Victims in Hsiao-lin village in Kaoh-siung County say they appreciate the support from their compatriots on the mainland. Hsiao-lin village was almost completely destroyed by Typhoon Morakot.

More than 70 families who lost their homes have now moved into prefabricated houses donated by the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province. Less than 40 days after the typhoon, villagers have settled down and begun to build a new life.
