CCTV.COM Decisions have been made to convey 600 million cubic meters of water from the Yellow River to drought-stricken Shandong Province. On Friday (September 27) the water should begin flowing into the east China province. he Water Resources Department and Yellow River Commission approved the plan to fight the drought in Shandong. From the end of this month into next month, 200 million cubic meters of water will be transferred from Liu Jiaxia Reservoir to Shandong. A lack of rainfall and continuous high temperatures have created drought conditions causing a direct loss of 10 billion yuan or 1.2 billion US dollars.
