Classics 947 is the only professional classical music radio channel on the Chinese mainland. 94.7 FM broadcasts 19 hours a day of music classics covering Shanghai, the rest of the nation and beyond. Its programs feature classical music, supplemented by classic songs, light music, crossover music and folk songs from China and western countries.

 

94.7 FM is committed to 「disseminating classics and savoring life」. Based upon its expertise, compelling arrangement, information intensive programsand service-oriented model, 94.7 FM strives to establish a platform for classical music where comprehensive, authoritative information is released. Since the channel first debuted in 2004, it has forged a number of outstanding signature programs which have accumulated a large fan base, for example, Dr. Wang’s Music Workshop, Time for Classical Music, WorldMusic under a Starry Sky, Songs of Yore, Master and Musicand Story and Melody.

 

Each year, 94.7 FM retransmits the Berlin Philharmonic Concert in Waldbühne, and the Berlin Philharmonic New Year’s Eve Gala Concert. It also hosts and cohosts a number of high-caliber concerts of classical music. World renowned musicians such as Ozawa Seiji, Riccardo Muti, Domingo, Fu Cong, Lang Lang and Li Yundi, have received exclusive interviews from 94.7 FM, or participated in live radio broadcasting, sharing with the audience their life stories as a musician, and their unique perspectives for music.
