Although I hate to change myself for others, I guess I have to adjust myself to fit into society.
The most important reason is that we are bound by social norms. We have to meet those expectations so that we can be accepted and probably have a better life.
雖然我討厭為了別人改變自己，但我覺得我不得不調整自己以融入社會。最重要的原因是我們是受社會準則約束的。我們必須達到那些期望，這樣才能被接受，可能過上更好的生活。
For example, our society tends to favor beautiful slim girls, who usually have an advantage in relationship and even in job hunting. As a result, many girls strive to look pretty and care a lot about their weight.

I will make some changes if necessary, but there are some parts of me that cannot be changed easily. Although some characters and choices may be favored by the majority, it doesn't mean that we have to change our personalities or follow the trend.

For instance, my parents asked me to choose finance as my major, because they believed that I would get a better job when entering the society. However, I have no interest in finance at all, and I am a quiet person who likes thinking and writing, so l insisted on majoring in philosophy. I’m glad that l've followed my heart.
