A-level學生基本分成四類人群：
成績優秀不需要爸媽操心的、成績平平無奇但有望衝擊高分的，成績差到親媽都不認識的，成績在時好時壞之間徘徊不定的。

儘管A-level選課比較自由，但名牌大學最常要求的也就那麼幾科。
正是這幾個科目的難度，直接影響了你現在的成績水平！
數學
別管大學是想學理科還是商科，A-level數學都必須擁有姓名。以為國外數學知識簡單，不用花太多精力就能拿高分？Sorry，not A-level Maths!雖然A-level 數學A*率高，但知識面廣、新內容多，所以並不好學。Alevel數學的空間向量、微積分、微分方程、正態分布等知識點，國內高中根本沒有，是大學才會學學的。數學有很強的連續性，所以打好基礎至關重要。
進階數學
沒點自信的同學，基本不會選A-level進階數學。進階數學是A-level數學的擴展與延伸，內容涵蓋代數、微積分、集合、矩陣、向量、複數、數論等，需要理解公式推理和邏輯運算，不入門的同學會認為，這個科目太抽象、理論為主、不接地氣。
物理
物理也是一個拉分的科目，成績好的是特別好，成績差的不忍直視。雖然對計算能力要求不高，但光是力學、電路、材料、光波和粒子性質、進階力學、電和磁場、核能與粒子物理各種抽象概念，已經讓你暈頭轉向了，最大的坑還是在表述題上。
化學
看似樸實的化學，其實對綜合能力要求也特別高，平時要理解好原子結構、有機化學、無機化學、方程式、化學平衡、酸鹼平衡等，與物理和數學有著千絲萬縷的聯繫，最後化學實驗才是最考驗你能力的時候，學不好真是會有生命危險啊！
生物
生物算是理科中的文科，「背多分」科目中的戰鬥機，各種複雜概念多到爆炸。生物分子、細胞、病毒、微生物學與病原體、基因學、遺傳變異的起源、控制系統、生態系統等，掌握一定規律才能學得又快又好。
經濟
A-level中的「高富帥」學科，經濟內容更是五花八門，市場與市場失靈的入門、英國經濟表現與政策、商業行為與勞動力市場、全球視角都有覆蓋，對我們來說是一個陌生的新學科，理論背得好，不代表成績一定高。
每一個科目都有自己的固定套路，沒掌握其中的竅門，就只能在A*的門外傻傻排隊拿著愛的號碼牌...
