在考研英語大綱的5498個單詞中，有一些詞在一般文章中極少出現，在歷年考研真題中總體上也極少出現。它們永遠靜靜地躺著那裡，像殭屍一樣，於是有人稱這些詞為殭屍詞彙。所以，大家實在沒必要浪費寶貴的腦細胞來記住這些詞，有那個腦力的話，背高頻超綱詞收益更高。
我是這樣篩選出殭屍詞彙的：統計大綱詞彙在題源文章出現的頻率，那些出現頻率最低的就是殭屍詞彙。
題源文章的總數是452篇，具體樣本分布如下：
《經濟學人》，174篇；
《衛報》，144篇；
《基督科學箴言報》，76篇；
《華盛頓郵報》，38篇；
《自然》雜誌，13篇；
《彭博商業周刊》，7篇；
以上文章：時間上，除部分《基督科學箴言報》文章是往年的以外，其他所有文章都是今年上半年最新發表的；題材上，大部分文章都在考研真題選材的範圍內。
計數規則上，某個單詞出現在某篇文章中，計數為1，否則為0：於是單詞出現頻率的最大值為452，最小值為0。最後，將頻率從大到小排序，得到了如下一張圖：
我取1為臨界值，當某個單詞的頻率為1時，意味著這個單詞平均至少將近450篇文章才出現一次。最後的統計結果中，頻率不大於1的單詞有1523個。當你背單詞，感覺某個單詞不常見時，可以來查閱一下本文章，如果發現它是殭屍詞彙，就不用浪費腦細胞去記憶了。
