英語課本上，單詞表上的短語一直以來是考試的重點，這些短語常常是一些固定的搭配和習慣用語。經常出現在單選題，完形填空，詞性變換題和翻譯題。怎樣巧記這些短語呢？我們可以把新課標八年級下冊的短語按26個字母的順序將它們歸類：
一、字母a開頭的短語：
a couple of 兩個；一對；幾個a little bit 有點兒，稍微 ；all the time 頻繁，反覆；all year round 全年amusement park 遊樂場as far as I know 就我所知as for 至於，關於as soon as 一……就……at birth 出生時. according to 依據; 按照at first 起初，起先二、字母b開頭的短語：
