Do you think it's important what clothes a person wears? (Why?/Why not?)
i used to shop by brand and price. the more expensive the better, because i was stupid enough to think that is how you get girls to like you. now, i could care less about brands. i need something that is comfortable and satisfies my tastes. i can't wear most jeans because i like jeans that don't hug your legs and have plenty of foot room. recently i discovered the best clothes for me in fact is stuff at the thrift store because a lot of it is recent, its cheap, and its exactly what i'm looking for.
Not important. As long it is good quality and i feel comfortable in it. but i know some people who like to wear brands, where it is written with big letters the name of the brand on a shirt etc. i always found this distasteful and cheap.
Is it important what clothes you wear at your job? (your company)
I think people should be well-dressed at work. It『s working time not leisure time. You can never wear clothes which are too casual or informal.
Uniforms are important. It's important for identification for one. It's also important for company morale - so you don't have issues stemming from this guy dresses better than that guy and so on. It's important to all have the same identity.
Do you think the clothes a person wears leaves an impression on others?
yeah, i think it will, but make sure you don't overdo it. i think your facial expression is probably more important, so yes, smile more!
Yea it will……i mean instead of wearing dark clothes, it makes u seem friendlier and a more approachable person! But you should dress in your own style and not care what people think in the first place.
What kinds/styles of clothes do you like (or, prefer) to wear? (Why?)
I like to wear dark Gothic and matrix style clothes to match my dark personality.
i'm a (concert) t-shirt and jeans type of girl. Although i'm trying to get away from that somewhat, with still sticking to my concert-esc style, with cardigans and logo tees and whatnot.
Well, everyone I know is SUPER preppy. I love Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, A&F, Hollister, Marc Jacobs, Burberry, and a lot of other designer brands. I go to a private school, so all the kids there dress EXTREMELY preppy like me.
Do you wear the same clothes both at work and after work?
Yes. I was alway wondering when watching "The King of Queens" why Doug is always wearing the work clothes all the time, but when I started working for one of the delivery companies I've been doing the same thing, those clothes are freaken comfy
I've worked for a pizza chain for 14 years, and generally, as soon as I get home, it's OFF with the uniform and ON with the "home" clothes. It's not saying the uniform isn't comfy, it's just not appropriate to home wear.
I don't think it necessarily matters what type of job you have, as long as you don't get very dirty at work, I work in hospitality at the front desk of a hotel and when I come home I sometimes still wear my uniform around the house, and sometimes even will have a nap in it, or I will put on pyjama pants and leave my uniform top on. I think that by the end of the day you have a) been wearing it all day and it's gotten warm and comfortable; and b) we're too lazy by the end of the day to take it off and change!
Do you wear the same kinds of clothes in winter and summer?
I hate wearing thick fur/clothe coats and big fluffy coats. So all my coats are leather, I wear dark jeans or cargo pants. And the same shirts I wear in the summer. But all through fall, spring, and summer. I wear shorts or light pants.
I usually wear a hooded sweatshirt, sometimes a jeans jacket over that. If it gets down to 0-10 then i do have a lined coat that i wear but its not a big bulky thing that makes you look like the michelin man. Other than that, jeans,t shirts, flannels and work boots, same thing i have worn all my life.
Do your friends have the same tastes in clothes as you?
No. Well first of all, we're not clones and we all have different brains.
People have different minds, different structures of thinking. Our environment, culture, family, friends, country etc, is what makes us different. We are part of either a conformity or a minority, so therefore the way we see things in life are either based on how people see it, or how we see and understand things.
What kinds of (or, style of) clothes do people in your country like to wear?
Chinese old people dress more formally then American standards. But I usually dress fairly casually, generally just jeans, a solid colored T, and athletic shoes since I'm quite active
Do you think you will still be wearing the same kinds of clothes when you are old?
No. I think I may be wearing some traditional clothing that my mom wears. I hate it but I bet that's how it's gonna end up.
No. I will be wearing clothes that are grey or beige in colour. Perhaps it's because I will be comfortable with who I am, can be myself, and I wont feel the need to compete with bright young things.
Do you prefer informal or formal clothes? (Why?)
Casual clothes. Cos they can still look great and they are waay more comfy. Actually I find with casual clothes there is more variety with what you can wear. You can mix things up more, create your own look more. It's more interesting and fun.
Formal clothes. I like to dress up. I'm not talking about just Armani suits all the time, but a nice sweater vest, or a collared shirt with a sweater pulled over it, nice pants. See, I wear nurse scrubs 3-4 days out of the week, so it's nice to get to dress up on occasion. But as long as I'm comfortable, it really doesn't mater.
Do you feel comfortable when wearing formal clothes? (Why?/Why not?)
If your formal clothes fit you correctly there is no reason they should feel uncomfortable - even the most formal clothes with a stiff or starched shirt collar can still feel comfortable if the size and fit is correct. It's worth spending a little extra to get clothes that fit you right. You can look formal, feel smart and comfortable all at the same time.
Do you think formal clothes are important?
well, if you are going to a formal event, then yes, i think it is very important that you show up in formal attire. i don't really understand how anyone could argue that formal clothes aren't important…… you'll need them for business interviews or dates or work. That doesn't mean you have to spend thousands of dollars on them.
When do people wear formal clothes?
I do. all the time! for my work, sometimes at home, going out to eat with family, business trips etc. Then super formal for special events……
I usually like to dress formal because you give a better impression everywhere you go, I usually wear it to job, but there is a reason why it is said "dress to impress" you should start trying it and you'll start liking it.
Are you very interested in fashion (or, clothes fashions)?
I find that its extremely important to find clothes that flatter your specific body shape/type, regardless of whether the particular item is trendy or not. Next, I believe that having a good sense of personal style is much more important than following trends, because having a good sense of style tells others that you're an individual who doesn't need to dress based on what others think is fashionable or "in." I put quality of clothes next, because if you have a good sense of style, you can buy inexpensive clothing (which people tend to equate with lower quality, but not always true), you can "look like a million bucks" without "breaking the bank." I put fashion last (assuming that fashion=trendy), because a person can look impeccable dressed in classic and timeless clothing, not paying attention to trends.
