天津大學簡介

天津大學、新加坡國立大學與福建省和福州市於2018年12月1日籤訂協議，建設天津大學—新加坡國立大學福州聯合學院(簡稱「聯合學院」)。聯合學院作為天津大學位於福州的二級機構，融合天津大學、新加坡國立大學教學科研優勢，從聯合研究機構做起，致力於建設成為一所集產學研用相結合的世界一流中外合作辦學學院，面向未來培養頂尖人才，同時聚焦柔性電子與新興光電子、先進化學製造、能源材料和催化等領域開展戰略性、創新性科學研究，服務國家戰略需求和地方經濟發展。
自成立以來，聯合學院引進兩所高校的20名學術帶頭人，招收59名品學兼優的博士生，招聘12名博士後研究人員，發表高水平學術論文62篇，並成功召開兩屆聯合管理委員會會議，不斷拓展兩所高校的合作領域，持續奠定戰略合作的堅實基礎。

About Joint Institute
The Cooperation Agreement on Establishment of Tianjin University-National University of Singapore Joint Institute in Fuzhou was signed by People’s Government of Fuzhou City, Education Department of Fujian Province, Tianjin University and National University of Singapore on 1/12/2018 to co establish TJU-NUS Joint Institute in Fuzhou (Joint Institute). As a secondary institution of Tianjin University, the Joint Institute was launched as a joint research institute and is committed to developing into a world-class Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school, educating top talents ready for the future, through the melding of the merits of both universities. It aims to develop strategic and innovative research with focus on the areas of flexible electronics, emerging photoelectron techniques, advanced manufacturing technologies, energy catalysis and environment, in support of national strategic objectives as well as local socioeconomic development From its inception, the Joint Institute has attracted 20 PIs from both universities, recruited 59 doctoral students with excellent academic qualifications, and 12 postdoctoral researchers. It has published 62 academic papers in world-class journals, and successfully convened two sessions of Steering Committee meetings, continuously widening the scope of strategic cooperation.
At present, the construction of the campus and supporting facilities are in full swing. The shared analysis center and the scientific research laboratory building have been started with the allocate funds put in place. The strong support of the government together with the joint efforts of the invaluable personnel of both universities will enable the Joint Institute to build a high-level, open, and international first-class platform. Employment Period and Remuneration Package
Salary:Negotiable.
Scientific Research guarantee:
Each PI team will be provided with a Research space of not less than 500 square meters, including a dedicated laboratory and a teacher and graduate student workspace. After the establishment of the scientific Research team, the five-year scientific Research start-up fund support for each team can be up to ￥ 10,000,000 which can be directly used for the procurement of related core Research facilities and consumables, and expenses covering testing, small-sized equipment and travel, etc. The Joint Institute will have an experimental space totaling about 2,500 square meters, equipped with high-end analysis and experimental equipment with a total value of about ￥ 150,000,000, for shared use by all faculty groups in the Institute. The Strategic Research Fund established by the Joint Institute has a total maximum amount of ￥ 60,000,000 over five years.
Team Support:Each year, two doctoral students allocation will be provided for PI’s Team, and during the term, 2-3 associate Research fellows and 2-3 postdoctoral fellows will be distributed for PI as well. Job Responsibilities

When the Joint Institute obtains approval from MoE, the teaching and Research personnel of Coordination and Service Center for Fuzhou International Campus of Tianjin University may apply for personnel relation transference from the former into the Joint Institute after passing selection process prescribed by Tianjin University. Job Responsibilities
1.Applicant shall undertake scientific Research and be able to independently carry out basic scientific Research work.
2.Applicant shall assist his/her PI/group leader in the application of scientific Research projects and participate in any other Research work as required.
3.Applicant shall participate in laboratory management and assist in guiding postgraduate students to carry out Research work.
Qualifications
1.Applicant must abide by the Constitution and the laws and regulations of People's Republic of China and be passionate for higher education. He/she should also be a good role model，with an eye for rigorous scholarship and possess professional ethics.
2.Applicant should have a doctorate degree in chemistry, physics, materials, chemical industry, microelectronics or other related disciplines. He/she shall be in good health with outstanding academic performance, and possesses professionalism, independent scientific Research ability, and a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
3.Applicant shall possess a solid professional theoretical foundation, a good writing skill in both Chinese and English, and good communication skills. He/she shall have published high-level Research papers as the first author in the past 3 years (the impact factor of the papers published shall be > 5 or the papers were published in important journals in relevant Research fields).
4.The age at the time of application should not be more than 35 years old and the doctoral degree shall be obtained less than two years from the date of application. Part-time work will not be accepted, the post-doctoral Research is full-time during the whole employment period.

2.PI submits the applicant’s resume (written in English) to the Postdoctoral Qualification Review Board of the Joint Institute.
3.Applicant should fill in the form Postdoctoral Fellow Application form of TJU-NUS Joint Institute in Fuzhou after obtaining approval from the Board and gain ratification from the Joint Institute.
4.Applicant should submit the postdoctoral application materials and the Postdoctoral Fellow Application form of TJU-NUS Joint Institute in Fuzhou to the Postdoctoral Management Office of the Personnel Office of Tianjin University, and apply for onboarding as required by the Postdoctoral Management Office.
5.After completing the onboarding process, applicant should send a photocopy of the Introduction Letter of Secondary Institution Induction to the Joint Institute.

Job Responsibilities
Assist Director and Deputy Director of the Analysis Center Platform ("Analysis Platform") of the Joint Institute in construction and operation management of the analysis platform, and provide support and services for various characterization and experimental work of the Joint Institute and TJU Fuzhou International Campus, which include the following responsibilities:
1.Collect and summarize the opinions and suggestions of the Equipment Steering Committee and end users on the platform construction.
2.Equipment maintenance and performance tuning, user (such as student) training, and offer advice to the Deputy Director of the Analysis Center and Equipment Steering Committee.
3.Attend appropriate or further training for important instruments and assist Director / Deputy Director of the Analysis Platform to develop core courses of equipment technology / vacuum technology.
Qualifications
1.Applicant must abide by the Constitution and the laws and regulations of People's Republic of China and be passionate for higher education. He/she should also be a good teaching role model，with an eye for rigorous scholarship, and possess professional ethics, an innovative mind and good team spirit. He/she should also be in appropriate physical condition to perform their duties and the age at the time of application should not be more than 38 years old.
2.Lab engineer position requires a doctoral degree and assistant lab engineer requires a master’s degree. The highest degree of both two positions applicant shall be obtained from an international high-level university or Research institution. For those without an international education background, their bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctoral degree must be obtained from a high-level university in China (or an institution of Chinese Academy of Sciences with equivalent level). Concessions may be made for candidates of exceptional caliber.
3.An assistant lab engineer shall possess at least one year or more operation / practical experience in one of the following experimental skills / instruments. A lab engineer shall possess at least three years or more operation experience / practical experience in at least two of the following experimental skills / instruments: TEM、SEM、Thin Film XRD, Powder / Small Angle XRD、Liquid Nuclear Magnetic、In-situ Solid-state Nuclear Magnetic、ESR、Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry / High Resolution Tandem Mass Spectrometry / MALDI-TOF、UPLC / HPLC, High Temperature GPC、In-situ Temperature Change Raman or FTIR, In-situ UV、X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer、Raman/UV PL Spectrometry、Fast Spectroscopy Characterization 、DSC, TGA + mass, BET, High Pressure Isothermal Adsorption、XPS/UPS/MBE、DEMS、MOKE、AFM.
4.All applicants should possess good English-speaking skills in daily work and be able to read English reports and literature proficiently.
5.Applicant shall possess a positive and learned attitude, excellent teamwork skills and be able to adapt to the changing situations during the construction of analysis platform.
6.Successful applicants will need to work full-time in Fuzhou.
