1. smell (1) 作動詞，意為 「有……的氣味；聞；聞出」. 其過去式和過去分詞分別為：smelled/smelt; smelled/smelt. 作感官動詞時，後接形容詞，也可接介詞like, like 後常接名詞，構成系表結構。（2） 作名詞，意為「氣味」。如：This flower hasn’t much smell.這種花沒有多大香味。
拓展：（1）常用結構：smell like 聞起來像；smell of 有……的氣味（2）表示感覺和知覺的系動詞還有： look 「看上去」; feel 「摸起來」 ;taste 「嘗起來」; sound 「聽起來」
