2020-2021網申系統開放

common app是一個非營利性成員組織，致力於在大學錄取過程中尋求公平性和完整性。每年，全球有300萬以上的申請者，教師和顧問使用common app，從而簡化了學生的大學申請流程，並提供給他們其他相關的資源支持，包括經濟援助和獎學金，虛擬導師等在內。

common application申請系統、uc加州大學申請系統、coalition申請系統號稱美本申請的三大網申系統。其中，三大申請系統以common application申請系統為首，覆蓋的大學最多，普遍被稱為common app，適用於包括普林斯頓大學、哈佛大學、史丹福大學在內的800多所美國大學。

common app 2020-2021網申系統如期開放，這幾點變化需要注意：

新增疫情相關問題

common app會在申請表中設置特定的地方以便申請者來描述covid-19給自己的生活和學習帶來的負面影響，比如健康，家庭境況，教育，失業等等，包括但不限於幫助父母承擔家庭責任，照顧兄弟姐妹，網絡授課設備，學習環境等等。同時，common app將設置問答環節引導申請者選擇適合自己的分類。

該問題設置於writing 的additional information部分，申請者在整個申請過程中只需描述一次將會遞交給所有通過common app申請的院校，而不必一而再，再而三的向所有申請學校解釋和遞交。另外，此問題字數限制是250字，申請者可以更加專注於問題和影響，不必過多顧慮文章結構等。這些考量都致力於使申請者可以有更多的時間和精力去分享疫情以外的興趣愛好，成長經歷和個人觀點等。此部分為選擇性作答，但是有特殊經歷的同學們可以在此充分描述自己遭遇的問題，尤其是在特殊情況下自己戰勝困難的毅力，對生活的熱情及對問題的獨特見解。

另外，目前650字的additional information依舊保留，同學們可以充分利用此部分闡述申請中沒有提到的其他特殊情況和限制條件。

學校情況說明

輔導老師在common app counselor forms中也有特定的地方來闡述covid-19對該校帶來的影響。如果學校沒有在上傳的學校簡介和相關網頁中說明，輔導老師可以充分利用此處的500字加以闡述和說明，如評分量表和政策，畢業要求，教學方法，課程和授課安排，考試要求，校歷，以及其他的合理情況。

同樣，輔導員提供一次相關信息，將覆蓋所有學生的表格。而且，不管利用什麼平臺，common app將和其合作夥伴一起確保該應用的暢通性。
