此前name.com對所有新註冊的域名，取消提供免費的Private Whois，從一定程度上導致多數選擇name.com註冊域名的用戶，把眼觀聚焦到Godaddy。而此次name.com推出優惠活動，域名轉入價格比Godaddy還低，間接程度上，也有助於重新抓住部分用戶的心。
