Dear Sir or Madam, My name is Li Ming, and I am glad to have the opportunity to recommend myself to you.
I would like to participate in the visiting team to Columbia University.
I am a sophomore in the Foreign Language department, majoring in English language and literature.
I study hard and have obtained the top place in my class ever since I entered the university.
I am also an honest, active and outgoing person, which makes me very popular among my classmates.
I have been working in the Student Union for over a year and I feel honored to have the chance to serve my fellow students.
