現在進行區分：
（1）從詞義和用法上，percent 和 per cent 完全相同。 英國習慣用per cent，而美國習慣用 percent。
現在來區分 percent 和 percentage：
（2）從用法上，percent 是跟在 數字 後面的，意思上是代替 %（單位）。
如 16 percent 對應的中文是16 %。
而 percentage 不能 和數字一起用。 意思上是表示 百分比。 常用的用法是：（the / a percentage of sth）（一個東西的百分比） 對應什麼變化、是多少。
可以說 a small percentage 或 a large percentage，形容百分比大小，但是就是不能跟數字一起用。
