「Tell him and he』ll forget; Teach him and he』ll remember; Involve him and he』ll learn.」語言學習的最好狀態就是學以致用。預備年級英語學習的第三篇章為美食篇章,通過這一篇章的學習,同學們近距離學習了如何製作披薩的相關知識。
喜迎新年,同學們決定將理論化為實踐,在家長的指導下親自動手製作了美味的披薩,有同學還利用了數位板等工具精心構圖,製作出的披薩圖案豐富,口味各異,同時配以英語解析的製作步驟,寓學於樂,趣味橫生。
很多學生在家從未做過飯,對於第一次DIY美食,學生非常積極。在寓學於樂的同時,也增進了與家人的感情交流,並深刻體會到了父母的艱辛與不易。相信愛心披薩只是一個開始,孩子們以後會更多地參與家庭勞動,在勞動中學習、在勞動中成長、在勞動中收穫。
小學三年級開始我就喜歡做美食,更確切地說是西點。那時是從做餅乾開始的,我漸漸喜歡上了做西點的樂趣。隨著時間的推移,我的技藝也有所長進。這學期的英語作業讓我擁有了一個可以展示才藝的機會,我激動不已。這是一個全新的學習方式,讓我們邊「玩」邊學。大家不僅英語口語表達能力變強,動手能力也得到了鍛鍊。在後期配音時,難免有些生詞不會,多查一個就多記一個,有助於詞彙積累。在這次做loving pizza的英語活動中,我積極參與,學到了不少新詞彙。學以致用,或許才是學好學習英語更有效的方式吧!希望以後多開展這類有意義的學習活動,鍛鍊我們的英語口語表達能力。

學校舉行了一次「為爸爸媽媽做愛心披薩」的活動,我很開心地參與其中。大家做的披薩,有栩栩如生的眼睛,有陽光可愛的笑臉,然而他們最後都有可能被吃掉。我想讓這份愛心披薩永遠保鮮,就想出一個好辦法——既然想變出一份美食,又要好好地保存,不如畫出來吧!於是我打開了手機上常常用來繪畫的軟體開始創作起來。繪板上我一筆一畫地勾勒出一根根線條、一片片色彩。最後,一幅「美味」的披薩被我描繪了出來,40分鐘畫完的畫作,20分鐘剪輯,最後1分鐘不到的短視頻。雖然過程很長久,最後的結果卻讓我覺得意義非凡。一份永遠「保鮮」的愛心披薩,送給所有我愛的人。

Pizza is my favorite. My mum often makes pizza for me. My English homework gave me a good chance to bake a pizza for my loving mum. I was so happy that I made a delicious pizza and my mum liked it very much. I would like to make an advertisement for my home-made pizza: Love her, love loving pizza.
I have become more and more interested in English since I came to my middle school HESY. For the first time, I found English could have so much fun. In our English class, I need to be a good singer, an excellent speaker and even a professional baker.

這學期我收到一份有趣的英文作業,動手做一個pizza,並且製作一份英文的短視頻介紹製作方法。我查閱了資料,發現pizza竟然源自中國,由馬可波羅帶去西方世界。隨後我對比了中英文菜譜,發現意式、美式pizza雖然發麵過程略有不同,用料也略有不同,不過確實和中國的餡餅製作工藝有異曲同工之處。在母親大人贊助我一個發酵麵團後,我順利完成作業。回顧作業過程,我閱讀了好幾份英文菜譜,學習了一個歷史知識,聽了一首名為 「Soy una pizza」的英文歌,全家人品嘗到我親手做的pizza,一家人其樂融融。
類似的作業還有唱一首英文歌曲,做一個如何過國慶節的PPT等等。每一份作業背後都能找到類似有趣的過程。聽說高年級還有英文辯論和演講,真讓人躍躍欲試啊。

Handmade pizza making was a very meaningful activity, which not only increased the fun of my life, but also improved my hands-on ability, concentration and creativity. More importantly, in the process of production, I acquired many English words, and I didn’t stop practicing until I could finish the whole task fluently and skillfully. I realized that I could make things happen if I tried my best. When I tasted the pizza made by myself, I felt that I would face unknown challenges with more enthusiasm and confidence in the future.
Making a pizza was fun for me and I enjoyed the whole process very much. I felt like a chef when I was making it. When the pizza was being baked in the oven, it made the whole house fragrant. I felt very happy and hungry while waiting. When it came out, I felt a sense of achievement. How delicious the pizza was! It was a really good try for us to make something on our own.
