Fairly means to quite a large degree. For example, if you say that something is fairly good, you mean that it is good but not very good. 


Examples:
 1. We did fairly well but only fairly well.      
我們做得還過得去,但也僅僅是過得去而已。


 2. What do you think of the video I made? Fairly good.  
   你覺得我的視頻做得怎麼樣? 馬馬虎虎了(過得去了/湊合了)

It's used to say that a situation or someone's behaviour remains the same, especially when it is boring or annoying.


Examples:

1. We always sit around and do the same old same old. Let's go out this week.
    我們總是坐這兒做這些無聊的事。這個禮拜我們出去吧。



2 A: "What are you doing this summer?"  今年夏天你在做些什麼呢?
   B: "Same old same old—doing homework at home." 老樣子,呆在家裡做作業。
