★ 操場和遊樂場英文都是playground嗎？
★ 足球場和羽毛球場的「場」英文一樣嗎？
★ 室內遊樂場是playroom還是indoor playground呢？
(1) Playground：遊樂場，指有滑梯、鞦韆、攀登架等遊樂設施的場地
所以，幼兒園的「操場」應翻譯為playground。當然，公園裡的遊樂場也叫playground。
At the playground, everyone has their turn.
在遊樂場裡，每個人都得按順序玩。
(2) Indoor playground：室內遊樂場，有滑梯、鞦韆、攀登架等遊樂設施
The indoor playgroundhas aball pit,jungle gym, and an inflatable castle.
這個室內遊樂場有海洋球、大滑梯和充氣堡。
在美式英語裡，jungle gym指有各種攀爬、滑梯組件的組合遊樂設施。
(3) Playroom：遊戲室，可能有小型的滑梯，但其主要功能是看管孩子，以玩具為主，遊樂設施為輔
Theearly education center has a playroom. You can play there for a little while after your class.
早教中心有一個遊戲室。你下了課可以在那兒玩會兒。
遊戲室-playroom不要和玩街機的遊戲廳-arcade相混淆。
(4) Amusement park：遊樂園，指有過山車、激流勇進等電動遊樂設施的公園
What ridedo you want to go on at theamusement parktomorrow?
你明天去遊樂園想玩什麼項目啊？
(5) Schoolyard 操場
Schoolyard-操場是一個大的概念，playground-遊樂場、soccer field-足球場、basketball court-籃球場都可能是schoolyard-操場的一部分。
All Fourth Grade students, go to theschoolyard.
全體四年級同學到操場上集合。
The students are having a flag raising ceremonyon theschoolyard.
學生們正在操場上舉行升旗儀式。
(6) Field：運動場，有草坪，外圈可能有跑道
Applicable sports 適用運動：soccer-足球，football-美式足球，baseball-棒球，hockey-曲棍球等
The soccer fieldis soggy after the rain yesterday.
昨天的一場雨後，足球場溼透了。
(7) Court: 球場，硬地
Applicable sports 適用運動：basketball-籃球，volleyball-排球，tennis-網球，badminton-羽毛球，squash-壁球等
Go find your place on the court. We're about to start the game.
趕快到球場找到你的站位。咱們馬上要開始比賽了。
(8) Rink：冰場
Applicable sports 適用運動：skating-滑冰，roller-skating-旱冰，ice hockey-冰球
You can hold on to the side of the rinkuntil you are ready to skate.
你可以先扶著冰場旁邊的杆，準備好了再滑。
Don't just stand in the middle of the rink.
別光在冰場中間站著。
(9) Open space：空場
The school has an open spacefor you to do exercises.
學校裡有一塊空場，你們可以做操。
(1) 亦可用open area；(2) 做操是一個中國特色概念，我們的美國外教認為學生們做的廣播操是group dancing，或者叫school-wide dancing。
有用戶問，鑑於操場是一塊開闊的、方形的場地，是否可以用square？答案是不行的，因為square專指城鎮中心的廣場。
(10) square：廣場
My mother owns a shop in the townsquare.
我媽在鎮中心廣場有個店鋪。
People crowded the square.
廣場上擠滿了人。
