一年制專業普遍要求本科專業背景相關，這也很好理解，一年制專業課程安排比較緊湊，不會安排太多入門課程，如果沒有相關專業背景，很難跟上上課進度。
學制一年，而且麥考瑞年度學費通常都不足4萬澳元 (一般院校學費超高的金融專業，麥考瑞學費也只有38000澳元而已)，而且，商學院還提供高達5000和10000澳元的獎學金！性價比太高了！
除了新開一年制專業，麥考瑞大學還增設了許多雙學位課程，2年時間，完成2個學位，拿到2張學位證外加一張Completion letter，而且都是含金量非常高的學位，在就業市場上的受歡迎程度不言而喻。

圖書館，是南半球規模最大，最先進的圖書館，自動取書系統可藏書超百萬冊，傳統書架也可以容納近百萬藏書。
雨天時，圖書館臺階上會擺出小黃鴨，提示學生和老師們地面溼滑，也太可愛了叭！又暖萌又貼心 ~
圖書館自習間 (Quiet Rooms)，牆和桌椅都是橘色和綠色的設計，有很多懶人沙發，不規則多邊形的隔間，學生都特別喜歡去自習間學習和討論。
食堂，有靠著大大玻璃窗的位置，看出去就是一片大草坪，也有露天酒吧，帶桌球檯的那種。
食堂的東西真的超好吃，雖說大學對面就是購物商場，但是很多小夥伴表示更喜歡食堂的東西。
當然，麥考瑞大學最吸引人的地方，是它的課程設置、學術實力以及研究實力，以及它的畢業生就業力與就業率。2020年最新的QS世界大學畢業生就業力排名中，麥考瑞大學全澳前十，就業率也遠遠高出澳洲其他大學。
