China is expected to develop its coal conversion industry into the world's largest by 2020, as the world's largest coal producer and consumer is seeking clean uses of its huge coal resources, industry insiders forecast.
業內人士估計，我國將在2020年建成全球最大的煤（清潔）轉化產業。作為全球最大的煤炭生產和消費國，我國正尋求豐富煤炭資源的清潔使用辦法。
文中的coal conversion industry就是指「煤轉化產業」，而「煤清潔轉化」則可以用clean coal conversion來表達，具體地說，就是把煤轉化為煤制清潔液體燃料、氣體燃料和可替代石油的化工品，比如coal-to-gas（煤制氣）、coal-to-chemical（煤制化工品）等。
平時家裡做飯要用coal-produced liquid fuel（煤制液化氣），常見的燃氣還有natural gas（天然氣）和liquefied petroleum gas（液化石油氣）。
Insider在這裡指對行業比較了解的「業內人士」，也就是「知情者、內部人士」。證券市場嚴禁insider dealing/trading（內幕交易），如果出現類似情況，那就是insider crime（內部人犯罪）。
