1. 概念:表示將要發生的動作或存在的狀態及打算、計劃或準備做某事。
2. 時間狀語:tomorrow, next day (week, month, year), soon, in a few minutes, by the day after tomorrow等。
3.基本結構:will/shall +do
No one knows what will happen in the future.
沒人預知將來會發生什麼事情。
We shall know more and more as time goes on.
隨著時間的推移,我們將懂得越來越多。
表示不以人的意志為轉移的客觀的將來。
如:Today is Saturday. Tomorrow will be Sunday.
He will be thirty years old this time next year.
表示臨時決定,通常用於對話中。
— Mary has been ill for a week.
— Oh, I didn’t know. I will go and see her.
— Mary has been ill for a week.
4.am/is/are +going to 表將來的用法:
事先考慮打算決定做某事。
或者是某種客觀跡象預示即將會發生某事。
— Yes, I know. I am going to visit her tomorrow.
Look at the black clouds. It’s going to rain.
5.be about to do: 即將發生的事情,強調迫在眉睫。
馬上,立刻要做某事。
Sit down everyone. The film is about to start.
6.be to do : 客觀上(按計劃安排)打算,將要做某事。
(按命令,指示,約定,要求,職責、義務等)必須,必要應該做某事。
We are to meet at the school gate.
No one is to leave here without permission.
7.特殊用法 :在時間、條件、方式、讓步狀語從句中,用一般現在時代替一般將來時,即主將從現。
If it is fine tomorrow ,we will go to the countryside.
8.特殊用法 :當謂語動詞是 go, come, start, leave, arrive, begin,等短暫性動詞時,可以用一般現在時表將來。
一般句中常伴有表示將來時間的狀語。如,汽車、飛機、會議等按時刻表將要發生的事。
The train leaves at three this afternoon.
I am leaving Paris for London on Sunday.
【注意】:be going to和will的區別
1.be going to 表示近期、眼下就要發生的事情,will 表示的將來時間則較遠一些,如:
He is going to do homework tonight.
He will write a book one day(某天).
2. be going to 表示根據主觀判斷將來肯定發生的事情,will表示客觀上將來勢必發生的事情。
Look at the clouds.It is going to rain.
He will be twenty years old.
3.be going to 含有「計劃,準備」的意思,而 will 則沒有這個意思,如:
She is going to take a trip next year.(計劃去)
He will visit his grandparents next weekend(將會去,沒有計劃打算)
